Toronto Officially Places Its Bid To Host WrestleMania

680News.com is reporting that Toronto has officially placed its bid to have WrestleMania return to the city in the future. Below is an excerpt from the report:

"TORONTO, Ont. - Toronto has officially entered its bid to bring WrestleMania back to the city.

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) event has already happened twice in Toronto - in 1990 and 2002.

The most likely venue would be the Rogers Centre because that is where the past two WrestleManias were held, when it was called the SkyDome.

Duncan Ross, the executive director of Toronto Tourism, said "we're a big event city and naturally it makes sense that we take a look at the WrestleMania oppourtunities."

I'm all for Toronto getting another Wrestlemania bid. TO always has a hot crowd.

With how huge of a success the last 2 Toronto held WMs were, WWE would be smart to bring it back up again.

If Wrestlemania 27 i hosted in Toronto, then this will be the 3rd time that Toronto has hosted Wrestlemania

Wrestlemania VI was in Toronto and Wrestlemania X8 was in Toronto and Hulk Hogan has been involved in both of them.

Canadian crowds are the best. Only in Canada could a man who hit the Rock with a truck while he was being taken away in an ambulance enter a match as a heel and leave as the most over face in the company.

WM 27 is going be held in Atlanta, so it will have to be at least WM 28. If Mania comes to Canada in the near future, WWE has got to find something for Bret to do.

I don't understand the question. Why couldn't Jericho wrestle in Atlanta?

Because he is Canadian I assume. Pretty irrelevant when you have Christian, Edge, Gail Kim and more from Canada.
