Today it was announced that the Nashville Predators will be sold and relocated out of the city of Nashville. This would make the 3rd team to leave Nashville this year, the first two being ABA Club Nashville Rythem and the other being the Nashville Kats who folded of the AFL. Fans in Nashville seem to be saddened by the news, however the NHL has not announced if Nashville would be eligible for an expansion team in the future. Currently the city of Nashville is trying to work out a deal with the owner of the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies would use the Gaylord Entertainment Center for 8 home basketball games, and the Titans would use Liberty Bell Stadium for two home football games. Either way the loss of the Predators will surely hurt the music city.
