I don't care to see him "diss" Pacquiao, why won't he fight him? I haven't cared about Boxing in a very long time, but this is the only fight boxing fans want to see. Until Mayweather is ready to fight Pacquiao, he should keep his mouth shut.

Mayweather does want fight Pacquiao, but Pacquiao wont take the piss tests 14 days before the fight to make sure he is clean. The fight was supposed to happen but then got called off due to Pac simply not taking the test, so its him being the bitch not Mayweather.

Last I heard, he agreed the the 14 day drug test deal and now it is Mayweather dragging his feet. Pac is fighting in Nov, that could have been Pac vs. Mayweather, but it's not. This is the only fight the boxing world wants to see and they can't get it down. Boxing is totally fucked. They need to be run by one orginization, like the UFC. If this were a MMA fight, Dana White would make it happen. Boxing is totally shit right now and it is almost dead.

Boxing needs one, unified promotion and someone who will give the fans what they want. Dana White would have made this fight happen by now. It is possible for UFC fighters to duck someone, but eventually Dana White makes them get their ass in the cage. Tito ducked Liddel for like 2 years, but eventually he had to fight Liddel. The answer is simple really, Boxing needs Dana White.

Lol. I agree, but Dana White doesn't need boxing. UFC is the top dog atm, why focus your attention on a dying sport when you have the new breed of entertainment. Sure it could do with someone like White. But it just wont happen.

OK, but the point is, Boxing is a bunch of self promoters. They need to have a main company that hires fighters and puts them in fights the the fans want to see. This is the only fight Boxing fans are asking for and they can't get it.

What happens if we get a UFC/Fedor situation? There'd still be a good chance that we won't see the fight for quite some time. If 1 fighter wants to duck another for whatever reason, the opportunities still exist for him to sign with a rival company, even if it's smaller.

Boxing is dying. Not only is it miles behind MMA at this point, but it is miles behind every other sport at this point. 20 or 30 years ago, Boxing was a huge fuckin deal, but now, it is as good as dead. There has to be something that can bring Boxing back. At least back to where more people give a fuck. I have been trying to think of the last Boxing fight I wanted to see and it has been at least 10 years or so.

I've never been into boxing...ever. But boxers still have more opportunities to make larger amounts of money. The $500,000 that Toney pocketed that we consider a lot for an MMA fight is probably only on par or less than what he makes in boxing (not sure what the fight purses are in boxing...maybe someone else can confirm).

I am not sure what the average big fight purse is, but I Mayweather made 7 figures in his last fight and that is another reason not having this fight is silly. Win or lose, both fighters are going to cash in big time.
