| Subject: Rush Limbaugh & Bill O'Reilly Respond To Jay Z's “Off That” Diss Wed Aug 26, 2009 12:05 pm | |
| Source: hiphopwired.comTwo of the most divisive and disputed men in media are reeling from a verbal slap from Hip-Hop's reining ruler. Both Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly were the target of verbal assaults from Jay-Z on a leaked track from his The Blueprint 3 album. In “Off That” featuring Drake, Jigga says: “Black vs. white my nigga, we off that. Please tell Bill O'Reilly to fall back. Tell Rush Limbaugh to get off my balls, it's 2010 not 1864. Yeah we come so far. How's that for a mix, got a Black president, got green presidents.”
After hearing the track, O'Reilly responded on a segment for Fox News' “Reality Check” news show sneering slyly and saying, “A regular Otis Redding isn't he?” His pal Rush Limabugh responded to the diss Tuesday during his radio show twisting Jay-Z's words and switching the topic to his favorite punching bag, President Obama. He somehow got off topic and said that Obama wants a federal mandate of circumcision: “I have been mentioned in a rap song by the rapper Jay-Z…I guess it means I made it, I'm now in a rap tune by the famous rapper Jay-Z. ‘Tell Rush Limbaugh to get off my balls, tell Bill O'Reilly to fall back.' I would remind the rapper Jay-Z, Mr. Z, it is President Obama that wants to mandate circumcision. We had that yesterday, and that means if anybody… if we need to save our penises from anybody, it's Obama. I did not know I was on anybody's balls either. I'm happy to know that they think I am though. But I didn't… I didn't actually know that I was.”
When Limbaugh and O'Reilly aren't riding on the President's coattails for ratings, they are notorious for slamming the Black community. Limbaugh once brashly told a Black caller to his radio show to “take that bone out of your nose" and in 2007 O'Reilly remarked that he was surprised that Black people were acting civilized when he had dinner at Sylvia's restaurant in New York City. “I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it's run by Blacks, primarily Black patronship. There wasn't one person in Sylvia's who was screaming, 'M-Fer, I want more iced tea.”
According to Nas and anyone with common sense, Bill O'Reilly is continuing to expose his true colors as a racist bigot, out to put to an end to a culture he does not and cannot understand. Nas took action against him and the channel that broadcasts his show; Fox News, staging a protest outside of the station's Manhattan studio in 2008. O'Reilly responded by calling him “vile” and saying that he was a hypocrite for peddling the word “nigga” to his audience of children and young adults. The two were supposed to take part in a debate but the meeting never happened. Ludacris is also an avid O'Reilly hater after his remarks on his news show caused the rapper to lose his endorsement deal with Pepsi. He denounced Luda as a “thug rapper" who "espouses violence, intoxication, and degrading conduct toward women." The next day Pepsi pulled the plug on his endorsement deal. Luda responded to the incident through his song, “Blow It Our Ya Ass” saying: “Shout out to Bill O'Reilly, I'm gonna throw you a curve. You mad 'cause I'm a thief and got a way with words. I'm 'a start my own beverage, It'll calm your nerves. Pepsi the new generation, Blow it out ya ass!”
Fortuitously for these two conservative conmen, they are protected by the right to free speech. Fortuitously for Hip-Hop, so is every single rapper with a voice right now. Hip-Hop is surely not done with these two yet and several more disses are expected. Next on Hip-Hop's “To Shut-Up” list may be Fox News commentator Glenn Beck, the man that called Obama a “racist” and said he had a “hate for white people.” Hopefully one of Hip-Hop's heavyweights will have a response for that and shut him down. In the meantime, Limbaugh and O'Reilly will continue to make money by denouncing a culture and a people that would otherwise pay them no attention and Hip-Hop will continue to thrive as a driving source of entertainment and culture for the Black community. | Bill O'Reilly sucks. I don't really know him that well and I've never even heard of Russ Limbaugh, but O'Reilly is constantly attacking hip-hop and rappers. I've seen clips of him on Youtube and he comes across as a racist old fool who is out of touch with today's society.

He definetely is, and he is just out there for rating. He'll attack anyone who's popular at the moment. He critisized Ludacris for demeaning women in his music. Then Bill O'Reilly got in trouble for sexually harassing a woman and kept leaving messages on her home phone answering machine. He's a hypocrit and he's annoying.

| O'Reilly is a tool. He thinks because he talks over and cuts off someone else that makes him right.
And Rush Limbaugh, when not stealing other peoples Viagra, or getting bombed on Vicodin, is nothing but an idiot. No pretty words about this ignorant douche. He is an idiot, plain and simple.
