Breaking News: Christopher Daniels Arrested for DUI

A professional wrestler was arrested on drunken driving charges during a traffic stop Friday in Smithfield. Daniel Christopher Covell, 39, of Palmdale, CA, who is known by his ring name of Fallen Angel, was charged with driving while impaired after police said he registered 0.14 on the Breathalyzer. Officer J.A. Calzaretta Jr. stopped Covell’s 2009 Dodge Charger in the 2300 block of South Brightleaf Boulevard for a traffic violation, which led to his arrest. Covell was released on $2,000 bail.

I really didn't see this coming Daniels is usually never in trouble. This is starting to become a problem with TNA though...

This surprised me way more than the whole Angle debacle. Having met Daniels a few times for autograph signings, I never really pictured him as somebody that would eventually get arrested for a DWI.

Nobody's perfect and can make mistakes. "Thankfully", nobody other than Daniels himself got in trouble but still, that's quite a dark cloud looming over TNA at the moment, a dark cloud that doesn't seem to want to go away.

Well everybody makes mistakes, you're right, but also, sometimes we have to be careful who we judge before jumping to conclusions.

True but a DWI is still a DWI. And TNA doesn't need more bad stuff happening to their talent. They have enough on their plate with Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett.

I'm a fan of Angle and I respect Jarrett but those 2 need to let cooler heads prevail for once in their life.

Hopefully, this will teach Daniels a lesson not to make the same mistake.

The bad news is he was over the legal limit for most states, but CD is so small in stature I'm sure 3-4 beers could get him there. But California and Florida are both really stick on the DUI, so don't be shocked if he has a shit load of a fine.

They should be strict on drink driving. People should take a cab, period.

Or since he was at Shane Helms' home, he should've stayed at Helms' and left the following morning after sobering up and a good night of sleep.

That would have been fine too, just don't get behind the goddamn wheel when you drink. They have to be strict because millions of people die in drunk driving incidents every year. I will not say accident because it is not an accident. You don't accidently get drunk and then get behind the wheel
