Subject: Titans have a new attitude? Tue Nov 17, 2009 5:18 am
Apparently everyone is taking Chris Johnson's statement to heart, even the owner Bud Adams who was fined 250k for this little incident on Sunday.
The Titans have been playing with an all new attitude, since his promise to win out the next 10 games Chris Johnson has been playing with his legs instead of his mouth. The run started against the Jaguars, who walloped the Titans earlier in the year. Many think the Texans could be next, and if the Titans score enough points on the Texans they could actually take over the tiebreaker in the AFC South. In other words, if they did win out they would be second in the division no matter what Houston or Jacksonville finishes.
Why is this important? Well simple, right now it looks like the wild card teams are going to be Baltimore and Pittsburgh...or so one would think. However, if the Titans finish at least 10-6 it would give them a semi prayer to make it into the playoffs.
With Chris Johnson being named the best running back by ESPN, and a new attitude about themselves, many think the only challenge will be Indianapolis. The interesting tidbit of the day is, since joining the same division in 03 the Titans and Colts have split the season series 4 years, more than any other AFC South opponent.
First thing is first, the Titans must win in Houston, against a team who has beat them twice in a row...barely. But the pieces are in place for the Titans to take control of the game, Houston has been nice to its former team with the Texans winning only 2 of the 6 matchups there thus far, compared to the Titans 5 of the 6 matchup against the Texans it favors well for the Titans to take control of Houston.
Vince Young returns home, and I'm sure Bud Adams is looking for a way to say "fuck you" to the city that exiled the Titans in 94. Is it a big game? No doubt. The biggest question is, with a healthy defense can the Titans stop Andre Johnson? Or with a more unhealthy Texans defense can Chris Johnson dominated the Texans again?
The answer will come Sunday Night, Chris Johnson on national tv for only the 4th time in his career, look for his reasoning to prove he is the best running back.
Rumor has it that Titans fans are going to send the Texans a bunch of bottles of Pepto Bismol, because that's the only way Mario Williams can stop the Rush.

The key to the Titans winning is Johnson getting 200 yards of total offense every week. They do that and they can beat anyone. The Titans still have some tough games left, but must beat the teams they are supposed to beat, Niners, Bills, ect. It seems to me that the team is playing for their coaches job. It would be terrible for them to fire Fisher and the team probably heard the rumblings of that in the press.
Even it they win out, I don't think 10 wins will get them into the playoffs, but you never know. Seeing Johnson the last couple of weeks makes me a little worried about them playing my Colts. Manning can win a shoot out, but running the ball controls the clock and limits Mannings chances to score. The Dolphins had the ball for over 45 mins, and Manning found away to win. I don't want to see them have to do that again.

That's the thing, with Johnson on target nobody can say they've got a chance to score. Say he runs for 150 yards, and catches another 75 against the Colts. The odds are very likely the Titans could win. Division games are always the closest games, and with Manning going to school in this state it makes the Titans vs Colts rivalry one of the most intense.
That being said, The Titans have a running game that is more potent than Miami. I think the only real test left besides the Colts is the Cardinals, who have not played up to par this year. Add in the fact that the game is in Nashville and you've got a very good chance to win. Let's be honest, nobody expected the Titans to beat the Jaguars a couple of weeks ago. Nobody expected us to beat the Bills, or the 49ers. But we did. Now we play a Houston team that gave us our closest game in our losing streak, and if Johnson goes over 100 yards rushing Houston is fucked.

My Colts are going to have to run the ball hell of a lot better and keep Johnson on the sideline. Ball control is huge in close games and they seem to almost always play each other close. I still have faith in my Colts, but I would rather play them with a struggling Chris Johnson. He is the best offensive weapon they have and he is the reason for the turn around. Sure, VY has made some good plays, but Collins could win with Johnson playing like he is.
I have been saying all year that the Colts are not going undefeated, I don't think any team will. The Titans could have our number the next time. I hope that Harper is back because Manning always makes him look like a bitch. He played him everyday in practice, so he knows his weakness.
