JR expected to return soon

WWE Announcer Jim Ross looks on course to return to WWE within the next couple of months which would mean he would be able to broadcast at Wrestlemania 26.

Ross noted in his blog on his blog "I'm happy to say that I'm feeling better than I have in a long time and I'm in a really positive frame of mind" he went on to mention a return time frame and had the following to say "I hope to be back on WWE TV in a couple of months at the most."

Despite a return soon Ross is still in recovery after a third Bell's Palsey attack in 2009 which has left him unable to close his right eye and paralysed the right side of his face further. Ross has noted in recent weeks that he might be slowing down his schedule with WWE.

Striker has done a fine job filling in for JR, but I will be very glad to hear JR calling SD again.

Yeah, I hope that his speech won't be too much affected by that latest Bells Palsy attack, especially if it paralysed even more the right side of his face. I'm thinking that JR will probably call only PPVs in the near future. But this stress the urgency of finding a great play-by-play guy to complete the duo with Matt Striker ASAP. I think that eventually, Josh Mathews will probably get there but in the meantime, this is where a Mike Tenay would be needed or even Vince McMahon if he was still willing to call matches.

There is a rumor floating around about Tenay being paraniod about his position in TNA. I think it would great to have him on SD and it would be even better to hear him call some matches with JR.

I'd rather have them have Strike and Cole commentate Smackdown and move JR by to Raw with King. As for Grisham, his commentating is horrible (in my opinion). Keep Saxton and Matthews on WWECW. Anyways, it's good to hear JR is healthy even if I'm not a big fan of his commentating work.

I'd take Mike Tenay and Matt Striker anyday!

AMEN. Ever since JR moved to Smackdown, it hasn't really been the same. The chemistry on both SD and Raw, with regards to the commentators have been pretty bland to me. Maybe it's just me, but I think JR and King only works if they're together. I find Cole and King so annoying, because they barely ever talk about the same topic. I just want JR and King on Raw back.

JR is the greatest of all-time and he can call matches with anyone. King on the other hand needs JR. King rarely says anything of value anymore he makes dumb mistakes. For example, before HIAC, King said that DX had never been in a HIAC togther. That is not true, DX faced the McMahons and Big Show in a HIAC match. King actually called the match. What made it worse is DX just got finished talking about all of the Cell matches they have been a part of and they mentioned that very match.

Good to hear he is healthy. Even if his face is melted, I'm sure he can still call a match and do it as well as he ever did. Just hope there is more Bah Gawd in the future since he has kind of been lacking in the passion department as of late. Striker and Grisham are doing fine on Smackdown at the moment though. Striker is the best color commentator in years and worked well with JR in the past from what I remember. The announce teams have been getting switched up alot lately but it's all good, makes things seem that little bit different every week.

As good as it would be, J.R and Striker would be great. I love Tenay on commentery but TNA is for him and I hope he stays there for good.

J.R will be great to bring back but at the present time I would rather him be GM on Raw. Sure it wont happen but we can always hope.

Also, Just quick opinion. Am I the only one who thinks after listening to Taz and Tenay that Don West was not that bad. I have been watching past TNA PPVs on DVD and I think he was quite good and added a bit of excitement to the show. Although Taz and Tenay are still solid on the headsets.
