- During tonight's TNA iMPACT! taping prior to the shooting TNA staff told fans in attendance the control their behavior. Fans were told not to curse, make obscene gestures or gang signs (considered very Indy)
The fans were referred to as "cast members" and were basically told they needed to be quiet, according to a fan in attendance. Eric Bischoff and Hogan are pushing TNA foward with a new look and atosphere much like uninversial studio days of WCW. Universal Studios sound stage 21 is considerably smaller then even the smallest of arenas so the fans on screen can create an instant impression of the product and TNA is pushing for a more professional feel.
It will for sure upset the hardcore fans who go weekly but like any growing promotion that hardcore group of fans either has to go with the change or be left behind in the name of commercial success.
Last night saw the debut of a new set and 4-side ring which has recaived an mixed reaction from fans but many are in agreement that the show looked more professional on screen and will be a good step for TNA moving forward None of this surprises me. Infact, I predicted we would see the second coming of WCW and it has begun.

| Well you know what?
I heard Bruno Sammartino talked about that he would like to see wrestling go back to the way it was back then:
No cussing, no sex, no nudity and stuff like that
and plus, the 6-Sided Ring was critisised by the likes of The Honky Tonk Man, Lance Storm and Jake "The Snake" Roberts
and someone even stated that this is wrestling not MMA when it came to a wrestling ring.

| I love how TNA is telling it's fans how to act. They pretty much abandoned everything they once were. I have a feeling that this is going to lead to the death of TNA. | |

| Come on guys, TNA use to have a 4-Sided Ring and I don't have a problem with that and plus, I think that TNA is trying to be family-friendly
We shall see where it goes from here and I'm looking forward to it.

And for every 3 people you can name tat critisized it, there's probably 10 who priased it. - tnalockdownfan wrote:

In other promotions outside the UFC (i.e. Pride), they use rings similar to boxing and WWE. In the UFC, they use octagons, not hexagons. In fact, this change makes TNA look more like non-UFC MMA because TNA was never like any other MMA promotion before, but now it is.

| The biggest news from this is not the changing of the ring. It is that TNA is treating the fans like extras or some shit. | |
