WWE Creative Changes, WWE Planning a 3D Special, More

- The WWE creative team recently re-wrote all of this week's TV tapings and angles for this Sunday's Over the Limit pay-per-view.

- A documentary was recently completed in Ireland called The Fit Finlays. The movie is about the history of wrestling in that country. WWE Superstar Finlay's father and grandfather both wrestled there and his sister was a referee.

- WWE is planning a 3D special for next year, likely to take place at a SmackDown on SyFy show.

Wait...how is 3D going to work? People seeing it live are obviously seeing 3D and people can't see 3D on TV...can they? :S

There are a couple of companies I think that are starting to manufacture 3D TVs but there are only very few and the technology isn't fully developed yet so I don't see this experiment come to fruition unless it's done in at least 4 or 5 years. But then again, the technology might develop quicker than expected and they might do it sooner.

I was wondering how this thing would work too. 3D TV are out there, but I would guess that very people own them. I don't think that most people have hi-def flat screens yet, let alone 3D. Maybe they will have something to do with 3D glasses, who knows.

^^Even if people only needed 3D glasses (which I'm sure it won't work because your TV probably wouldn't be able to project the image the way that it needs to be), who would buy glasses to see a 1 night special.

It would just be two different outputs. Whoever has a 3D TV would get the 3D image.

Umm the 3D TV was the most purchased entertainment appliance bought last year and hasn't even been out for six months. Not very "Small amount" worthy to be honest.

Yeah but it is supplying to the people with 3D TVs. People with 3D TVs will invite friends over to view the show and they will get an idea of the 3D TV and may go and purchase it. It is most likely aimed to help 3D TV companies and not WWE.

There doing it here next week in Australia for State Of Origin. Toshiba and LG are holding numerous places around the state where you can go watch the game in 3D

^^Well that would be cool. You what would kick ass? If they did these 3D thing for Mania and had it on at theaters across the country. WM on a giant, HD, 3D scale, that would almost like being there.

If people watch at their friends and stuff, then the WWE is going to lose major viewership. If even 20% of people own HDTVs and they invite 2 friends over, WWE loses 40% of their ratings because of this. It really doesn't seem like it'd be a great idea if this is the case.
