- Monday night RAW begins with Edge hammering away on Evan Bourne!
Michael Cole and Jerry 'The King' Lawler tell us that Edge came out to make an announcement to the WWE Universe before they went on air. Bourne then came out to challenge Edge to a match. Edge though decided to beat him up and there wasn't an official match. Edge finally gets Bourne out of the ring after a spear. Edge then gets on the microhpone and tells that he doesn't like getting disrespected by people like Evan Bourne and people of the WWE Universe. Edge goes through his prospective Fatal-Four-Way opponents and tells that at the pay-per-view Edge intends to prove all of the people wrong, all of the people who have ever been against him. Randy Orton's music hits and the commentary team take the opportunity to welcome everyone to the University of Texas. Orton gets in the ring and Edge taunts Orton by saying that he isn't a hundred percent and that Orton will be hurt by Edge at Fatal-Four-Way. Orton says nothing to Edge's threats, he hits the RKO instead! Randy then climbs the turnbuckle to pose for the fans.
The commentary team announce that tonight's main event will see Fatal-Four-Way opponents team up. John Cena and Randy Orton versus Edge and Sheamus!
We then have a big picture of Ashton Kutcher on our screens. Ashton's one of the most followed celebrities on Twitter and tonight he is the guest host Monday night RAW!
We see Ashton Kutcher backstage on a laptop. Kutcher is peeved that Zack Ryder is apparently insulting Kutcher on Twitter. Eve comes along and welcomes Ashton to the show. Kutcher bemoans Zack Ryder and says that he might put on a hit against Ryder just like his character does in his new movie 'Killers'. The Miz comes into shot and says that Ashton is standing by a superstar that will be alongside him in 'Killers 2'. Kutcher then says that he and General Manager Bret Hart have arranged for The Miz to be against Daniel Bryan tonight. Daniel Bryan apparently has a one-night contract. Miz and Kutcher have a moment of not liking one another and after Miz leaves, Kutcher suggests to Eve that he could 'take him' and Eve agrees.
R-Truth vs. Chris Jericho
The match begins with both competitor's full of energy. They exchange blows early on and R-Truth manages to throw Jericho to the outside. Truth dives over the top rope and we cut to the ads.
We come back from the breaks to see Jericho with a sleeper hold on Truth in the ring. We see a spilt-screen clip of Jericho hitting a baseball slide on Truth during the commercial break. Jericho has the match under control and the referee often has to administer the Five count as Jericho cuts every corner possible. Truth manages to get some momentum with a clothesline off the ropes. This surprises Jericho and Truth gets a near fall. Jericho gets momentum back and as Truth is on the mat Jericho attempts the Lionsault, but misses. Both guys are disombobulated but Jericho manages to get R-Truth in the Walls. Truth gets out of it and manages to hit him with a modified suplex into a face-buster! A cover! One, Two - a kick out! The match goes back and forth until Jericho hits the Walls again, but he can't lock it in, R-Truth turns it over into a small package! One, Two, Three!
Winner: R-Truth!
We see/hear from Toby Mac - providing the theme of Fatal-Four-Way, the track named 'Showstopper.'
We see a clip of Batista quitting WWE last week.
Backstage in Bret Hart's office we see Zack Ryder and Alicia Fox bemoan the whole Ashton Kutcher thing from earlier. Ryder and Alicia Fox leave for The Hart Dynasty to come in. The Hart Dynasty ask if Bret knew who attacked them last week. Bret says that he does know who they are as he's the one who signed them. He goes on to say that he didn't know that they were going to come in like that, but with that said, Bret isn't going to do The Hart Dynasty any favours here. They're going to have to deal with their own problems. Tyson, Natalya and DH Smith seem to be in agreement. Bret walks off as the Hart Dynasty discuss tactics.
Eve and Santino Marella vs. Maryse and William Regal w/ Vladimir Kozlov
Before the match gets underway Santino gets on the mic and confronts Regal and Kozlov. He mocks Regal's entrance music saying it's like Darth Vader's theme. He then suggests to Kozlov to become his Tag Team partner. Eve and Maryse then get the match underway. Maryse is on top, but Eve hits a dropkick and the Men are then tagged in. Santino does all he can to put Regal off with his antics, but Regal quickly dominates and gets the boo's of the crowd. Regal locks in the Regal stretch but Eve comes in to break the hold. Maryse comes in and the two Diva's start brawling on the mat. This distracts the referee and Vladimir Kozlov meanwhile comes in and grabs William Regal to pick him up and slam him down - sort of like a Rock Bottom with the impact of a chokeslam. Santino then gets the pin, not realising what had happened.
Winners: Santino and Eve.
We see replays and Santino too see's them on the titantron, realising that he may have an ally in Vladimir Kozlov.
We see Bret Hart walking through the halls backstage and the commentator's tell us that he is on his way out to make an announcement concerning next week's show.
We see a video package outlining how this edition of RAW is dedicated to the Men and Women of the Armed Forces. The video shows various images of American soldiers old and new.
As we cut back inside the arena we are introduced by Justin Roberts to RAW's General Manager Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. Bret comes out to an excellent ovation from the crowd in Austin, Texas. Bret says that he's been having fun as RAW's GM. He says that he's had a meeting with SmackDown's GM Teddy Long. Next week's RAW is going to be a three-hour special - a three-hour special with the whole WWE roster on one show. All the SmackDown guys and RAW guys will be under one roof. Bret goes on to say that if anyone in the WWE Universe or anybody backstage has any suggestions of what kind of matches they wanna see next week, then he wants to hear them. With that said we get an entrance from the 'Fortunate Son' Ted DiBiase Jr. DiBiase comes out with Virgil and gets on the mic to tell Bret that he should take the suggestion of making him General Manager for the night next week. DiBiase says that he's willing to pay anything for Bret to take this suggestion. Ashton Kutcher then comes on the titantron and suggests that Bret should consider making next week's RAW a complete 'Viewer's Choice' show. Kutcher says that the power goes back to the people if they can pick the matches and the competitor's. Bret takes this suggestion on board and immediately enforces the ruling; next week's three-hour RAW will be completely 'Viewer's Choice!' With that announcement made, the frenzy isn't over because out next comes the Chaiman of the Board; Vincent Kennedy McMahon! DiBiase and Virgil leave as Mr McMahon gets in the ring. McMahon plays to the fans a little as the commentary team remember that the last time we saw Vince McMahon was at WrestleMania. McMahon asks Bret how many times he hit him with a chair, Bret answers 18. McMahon then says that people must be wondering why he allowed Bret Hart to be appointed Monday night RAW's General Manager. Vince runs through all the possible reason's for the appointment but lands on stating that he simply feels Bret Hart is the man for the job. He advises Bret to treat the fans like children and then says that Bret's done well so far, but the job will get harder. He then ends by crypticly saying good luck to Bret Hart and saying that he hopes that the Bret Hart story has a happy ending.
Backstage we see Zack Ryder asking Randy Orton whether he was the guy that was going to do the hit on him that Kutcher had considered on him. Orton, stood by a door opening, says that if he was then they wouldn't be having this conversation. Ryder and Fox walk off only for Edge to smash a door into the arm of Randy Orton.
The commentary team say that the medics have seen to Orton and are unsure if Orton will be able to compete in the main event.
The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan
Before the match gets underway we see highlights of last week's NXT altercation between Daniel Bryan and Michael Cole. The clip also shows Bryan attack WWE mentor The Miz. Back at ringside the bell rings and we see Miz dominate Daniel Bryan. Great physicallity and pure dominance by The Miz as Michael Cole runs down Bryan on commentary. Bryan is on the mat and Miz arrogantly slaps his head. Bryan grabs Miz's arm and locks in the crossface! Miz eventually rolls into a pin, a Two-count, but then Daniel Bryan rolls Miz into a crucifix pin! One, Two, Three!
Winner: Daniel Bryan.
Miz doesn't take the defeat too well and beats up on Bryan. He throws him to ringside and commands him to appologise to Michael Cole. Bryan elbows him, smacks his head on the announcer's table and then launches him over the table directly into Michael Cole! The fans cheer as Bryan leaves with a smile on his face. Jerry Lawler reminds us that it was only a one-night contract for Bryan, but he leaves having left Michael Cole on his butt!
We return after the break to see Cole and King with Cole moaning about how he's just been assaulted once again by Daniel Bryan. We then see WWE's Slam Of The Week and we're shown a clip of the Samoan youngster's come in and attck The Hart Dynasty last week.
In the ring the three newcomer's stand and they speak of how the Hart Dynasty aren't the only family that have a historical context in this industry. The two gentlemen state that they are not the traditional type of Samoan's. They say that they go to college's and get American scholarships. The lady of the group says that she's the daughter of Jimmy 'SuperFly' Snuka. She goes on to say that the three of them were born and bred to 'dominate!' The Hart Dynasty's music hits and the three of them storm to the ring to try to beat on the 'Oooso's' (?) The Hart Dynasty attempt the Hart Attack, but SuperFly's daughter trips up Tyson and then clothesline's Natalya. The two new youngster's do a double super-kick on DH Smith and then perform an assisted Samoan Drop on Tyson Kidd. All three newcomer's then climb a corner to hit simutaneous splashes off the top rope - just like last week.
Zack Ryder and Alicia Fox make their way to the ring. Ryder gets on the mic and demands that Ashton Kutcher tells him who it is that he's got to put a hit on him tonight. Kutcher comes on the screen and meanwhile Jerry Lawler gets a steel chair and gets in the ring. Ryder tells him to back off, but King just takes a seat. Kutcher just says "it's not King." The Great Khali's music hits and the Punjabi Nightmare makes his way into the ring. Kutcher then says that it's not Khali. Goldust makes an entrance and Kutcher says that it's "not him either." Ryder gets impatient and Kutcher says that Ryder is never gonna see it coming. Alicia Fox takes the mic and says that she's fed up of Kutcher playing games. Ryder then challenges Alicia, thinking that it's her that's been hired to make the hit. She claims it's not as the microhpne drops to the mat. As Ryder goes to pick it up Fox hits her modified scissor-kick and her music hits! Ashton Kutcher finishes by plugging his movie Killers, applauds Alicia Fox and mocks Zack Ryder's "Woo, Woo, Woo."
Backstage we see Sheamus approach Edge. Sheamus says that he liked what Edge did to Orton. Edge though says that it's obvious he an. Sheamus can't trust each other, but tonght they should put their differences aside and get the job done in order to weaken their opponents going into Fatal-Four-Way.
We see an advert for next week's guest hosts; the cast of The A-Team!
Edge and Sheamus make their entrances for the upcoming match. Before the match begins Cole and King review Orton's aggrovated injury after Edge slammed the door on Orton's arm earlier in the evening. Randy Orton is apparently unable to compete. John Cena enters to the typical uneasy response of the WWE Universe. Cena gets on the mic on the stage and re-afirms how Orton's injury keeps him from competing here tonight. Cena though has a new partner and his intentions are to kick Edge's teeth in! It's Evan Bourne!
Edge and Sheamus vs. John Cena and Randy Orton Evan Bourne
The match begins with Edge and Cena battling it out, but immediately we go to an ad break as Evan Bourne Tags in. As we return Edge is in control of Evan Bourne. Bourne's body hangs from the apron as Edge attacks him on the outside. Back in the ring Edge Tag's Sheamus and the Irish Warrior makes easy work of Evan Bourne. Bourne though manages to get some energy, he tries to reach for a Tag to Cena, but he cant' quite make it and Sheamus regains control. Sheamus then Tag's in Edge who continues to dominate and get two near falls on Evan Bourne. Edge has a sleeper on Bourne but Evan Bourne gets out of it and the fans are on their feet awaiting the Tag! Cena Tags in and Edge Tags Sheamus only for Sheamus to come in and get consecutively knocked down by Cena as Cena sets him up for the Five-Knuckle Shuffle! The fans chant "you can't see me" as Cena completes the move. Cena then goes for the Attitude Adjustment. Sheamus though reverses and gets on top. Edge then comes in and storms across the ring only for Cena to send him into the ring-post. Sheamus goes after Cena again with his patented kcik, but Cena ducks. Sheamus's momentum takes him hito an awaiting boot from Evan Bourne in his corner. Sheamus then falls back into John Cena who this time gets Sheamus up and down to hit the Attitude Adjustment! Cena Tags Bourne - Air Bourne! Evan hits the Air Bourne and pins Sheamus! One, Two, Three!
Winner's: Evan Bourne and John Cena!
Bourne hits possibly the biggest pinfall of his career! Bourne and Cena celebrate as the fans cheer and the commentator's sign out of Austin, Texas.
