The Reason Why Rey Mysterio Won the World Heavyweight Championship

According to numerous reports, one of which comes from The Wrestling Observer, Rey Mysterio was awarded the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Fatal 4 Way for a couple of reasons.

The first involved WWE not being happy with the reign of Jack Swagger, as many officials felt that he hadn't gotten over with the fans to the degree they expected him to.

The second reason involved the fact that Mysterio was reportedly unhappy in the company as of late, so this apparently was WWE management's way of appeasing him.

Furthermore, Mysterio had been scheduled to take a month off for vacation, but due to injuries sustained by The Undertaker, Mysterio's vacation plans were scrapped, and WWE giving him a title run persuaded Mysterio to stick around.

I'm so happy that Rey Mysterio won The World Heavyweight Championship belt.

Personally, I would've preferred CM Punk to win it but I can see why they did though.

Rarely is there a heel/heel title change. Hopefully the end of the Punk/Mysterio thing ends with Punk taking the WHC.
