| Subject: Tito Ortiz Looking To Return At UFC 121 On October 23 In Anaheim, California Thu Jul 15, 2010 5:39 pm | |
| - Quote :
Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Tito Ortiz has revealed he's looking for his doctors to give him the medical clearance to make his return to the octagon at UFC 121 on October 23 in Anaheim, California.
Posting via Twitter Page, Ortiz said:
“Can I be ready by Oct 28th UFC at the Honda center? We will know in 10days!”
Lets see, who could Tito beat at this point? Has he ever fought Mark "The Punching Bag" Coleman? That is a winnable fight for him, though it would probably be a boring, 3 RD Decision win. Hmmmm, who else? I would love see Couture beat his ass again. Ortiz vs. Rampage would be the 2 biggest mouths in MMA history.

| He's called out Griffin to finish off their trilogy already, don't know if he'll get that fight though. | |

| Rampage also called out Forrest and Rampage and Forrest are a lot more relavent now. Rampage vs. Forrest could have title implication down the road. Forrest vs. Tito would be just a nother beat down for Tito. | |

| What I mean is, Forrest has nothing to gain by beating him again. | |

| I don't care who beat the shit out of Tito, as long as someone does. Rampage vs. Ortiz, who wins? | |

| Probably Rampage at this point unless Tito keeps trying to take Rampage down and just lay and pray. I think Rampage's TDD is better than he showed against Rashad though and he could still very well just stand back up. | |

| Also, Tito shoots different then Evans. Evans use his hand to set up the shoot and he drives through the takedown. Tito tries the Couture takedown method of get'em against the cage, take'em down, beat'em up. The problem is, he is not Randy Couture. He isn't even Couture at age 46, let alone Couture at 35. I don't remember Rampage trying any takedowns in the Evans fight and he has good takedowns and awesome slams. I sas him try to piledrive some asian dude, in Pride. Rampage tried to stand right in front of Evans and bang. Evans uses good head movement and he uses he speed very well. Hell, Rampage almost ended that fight. Evans recovered, but it made me nervious for sure. Rampage still has big time power in his hands. | |

| I don't think it is fair to say he has a weak chin, he has only been KOed once, in 15 UFC fights. That little thing you posted is one of the reason I wanted to see Rampage get his ass whopped and he did, so his little jokes aren't funny anymore. He could not back up any of the shit he talked on TUF. | |

| He may have only been KOed by Machida, but his 2 fights since (both wins), he's gotten rocked. I think twice by Thiago Silva (slight stanky leg) and at the end of the Rampage fight. | |

| He has been rocked a couple of times for sure, but he knows how to recover and that is the most important part. Everyone has gotten rocked at somepoint. The best fighters know how to recover and avoid being KOed.
I will post the source later, but Jake Shields has signed to fight Martin Kapman on this card as well. This is shaping up to be another great fight card, far better then 120.

| But look what that loss did for GSP. He says it was the best thing to ever happen to him and he has kicked everyone's ass since. 121 looks like an awesome card, I can't wait for this one. 119 is happening about 2 HR's from my city. If the 121 card was going to be in Indy, I would be there. I will watch 119, but I don't really want to spend the money to see it live. | |

| I watch them at a sports bar. What I meant was I won't spend the money for a ticket. My computer is fuckin old and very slow. A live stream would kill it. It would take an hour just to watch one fight. | |
