Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Brendan Schaub In The Works For UFC 121

Another fight has been added for the stacked UFC 121 card with a Heavyweight bout being added to the show. A Heavyweight fight between Gabriel Gonzaga and Brendan Schaub will take place at UFC 121 on October 23 in Anaheim, California.

According to MMAJunkie.com, sources close tot he fighters revealed both men have verbally agreed to the fight and contracts will likely be signed shortly.

Gonzaga last fought on the UFC on Versus card back in March when he was knocked out by heavy hitter, Junior Dos Santos. He still holds an amazing knockout over Mirko Cro Cop that earned him a Heavyweight title shot over the former champion, Randy Couture.

UFC 121 just keeps getting better. This is going to be the best card of the year.

Very nice opponent choice for Schaub. GG is definitely a step up for Schaub without throwing someone unrealistic at him. It's not a fight I'm dying to see, but it's a nice realistic fight for both guys.

I am not dying to see it either, but it is a good addition do a good looking card. GG is still dangerous, though he is on the downside of his career. I would pick Shaub to win, but GG is still a dangerous fighter.
