Top WWE Star Taking Time Off Soon

Wrestling-Radio.com has learned via The Wrestling Observer that Chris Jericho is expected to take some time off from WWE sometime this fall, which is when his contract is said to expire. The reason for this is due to Jericho hosting the "Downfall" game show, as well as taking part in some tour dates with his band Fozzy.

There is also speculation that Jericho may actually finish up with WWE completely when his contract expires, but this has not been confirmed in any way whatsoever.

When news about his tour came out, I new this was going to happen. When I first saw this headline, I was hoping it was Rey, but no, it has to be someone I actually want to see on TV.

The way that Chris Jericho was talking in recent interviews, I don't think he'll be totally done with WWE yet. His workrate is still among the absolute best in the company and I think he's eager to give back to the business by helping WWE creating new stars. But right now, he has outside ventures that he wants to pursue and I think it's OK with that.

However, what worries me is Vince's reaction to whomever decides to pursue outside ventures without Vince himself meddling in these himself. Ask Maria and Mickie James.

I don't see him being done either. I just hope that Vince doesn't push Jericho away, by not allowing him to do these things, once in a while.
