Several WWE stars have privately indicated in recent weeks that they are contemplating leaving the organization—and the wrestling business altogether—once their current contracts expire.

Edge, who's current deal with World Wrestling Entertainment expires in two years, has been telling people that he may retire from the wrestling industry once it concludes.

One company insider noted to Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer that four other WWE stars have stated in recent weeks that they've completely lost their passion for wrestling, to such a degree that they vow to leave the business altogether once their contracts expire.

A fifth wrestler claims he will leave WWE once his current deal runs out, but will continue wrestling elsewhere.

I am sure that all of those "unhappy with the current product" are mid-card people that don't get TV time, so I am not too worried about them.

Edge has taken a tremendous amount of punishment and had many severe injuries. I could see him leaving wrestling in a couple of years. No one ever really leaves and he might decide he wants 5 more years, when this contract date gets closer.

Actually, I read a different version of that report about 1 week ago and it mentioned that it was 4 major stars in the company who were complaining about it. So, I don't know if it has been corrected or if somehow, the report has morphed or anything but honestly, it raises a big red flag to me if that's the current state of mind of WWE workers, especially that they're #1 without any viable threat to them.
