NBA in Europe?

David Stern announced today that the National Basketball Association wanted to have at least 5 NBA Franchises in Europe within 10 years. This is shocking considering the fact that Canada only has one team and many cities don't have teams. Cities like Nashville, St. Louis, Kansas City, Cincinatti, and others don't have teams.

Won't work. The travelling would be too big a bitch if you have to go from the west coast all the way to any part of Europe. Exhibition games there, sure. Maybe a game (from current teams) here and there in Europe, but I don't see it working for a long-term thing. Nobody would want to sign with those teams. Possibly lower living standards, travelling time for every game, relocating families.
