This Week's WWE RAW Rating Drops Big Time

Hey guys, listen to this:

Last night's edition of Raw did a 3.03 cable rating for Vince McMahon's million dollar giveaway. That is actually down from last week's 3.06 (which rounded up to a 3.1). The show did hours of 2.97 and 3.09. I think it's fair to say that WWE hoped for more of an audience than this for a million bucks.

Well folks, I guess that WWE's attempt to be more family friendly like WCW was back then w/their own TV-PG V Rating didn't do them any good.

I mean hey, don't get me wrong, I applaud them for not showing sex and using profanity, but for them not to show blood, I don't think that's going to work.

Oh, and in case if you haven't heard:

WWE wanted them not to show blood so that they can draw children and families to watch WWE programming.

That was one of the worst Raw's I've seen in some time.

The money segments took way to much time and it really killed any momentum the show started to gather. I hope that they tweak the format of money give away for next week.

I think that blood should be shown. Mainly I don't even think they should waste time on TV. Give out the password at the begining and show it at the bottom of the screen during matches. Just call the freaking people and don't waste much time TV time on it.

-- It has pretty much been conceded by people in management that Vince McMahon's segments on Raw this Monday didn't come off too well. However, they plan on changing things up and "making them more fun" next week. Also, WWE officials were surprised at Monday's rating being down from last week.


The only way to make it more fun is to either give everyone some money, or don't waste TV time with phone calls. Frankly, I don't care if anyone wins money, unless it is me, so don't waste my time with long, boring, and badly done TV segments. The only thing remotely entertaining last week was when someone won $2, that money segment was kind of funny.
