Hey guys, and now we take a look @ a man who is considered a TRUE 4 Horseman:
It's time we take a look @ Arn Anderson
He was one of the founding fathers of the 4 Horsemen and he was certainly one of the best wrestlers, shooters and teachers in Professional Wrestling
He is w/o a doubt, one of the best EVER in Professional Wrestling
Arn Anderson was born Martin Anthony Lunde on September 20, 1958 in Rome, GA
He was an only child, his mother was married and divorced 5 times and Arn stated that he never knew who his father was, but in January 1982 @ the age of 23, he came to the Professional Wrestling Business and in 1983, he won the NWA Southern Tag Team Championship with Ron Fuller's Stud Stable and Mr. Olympia Jerry Stubbs as Super Olympia
He held the titles 4 times w/3 different partners
In 1984, he left SCW for Georgia Championship Wrestling and with Ole Anderson, they former the NEW Minnesota Wrestling Crew and in 1985, they held the NWA National Tag Team Championship and in 1986 Arn also held the NWA Television Heavyweight Championship while still holding the National Tag Team Championship, but titles were later vacated, and abandoned, after Dusty Rhodes and Road Warrior Animal injured Ole Anderson
During the Days of Jim Crockett Promotions, Arn Anderson would soon team up with his friend Ric Flair and w/Ole Anderson and Tully Blanchard along with manager James J. Dillon, they formed the 4 Horsemen which was named after the 4 Horsemen of the Apocolypes which is also the Symbol of Excellence
During the JCP Era, The 4 Horsemen would feud with so many wrestlers, the likes of Dusty Rhodes, Magnum T.A., The Road Warriors, Nakita Koloff and many others
When Ole Anderson left the 4 Horsemen, he was replaced by Lex Luger and then, he was later replaced by Barry Windham
During his time w/the Horsemen, Arn Anderson won the NWA Television Heavyweight Championship def. the likes of Dusty Rhodes, The Great Muta and Tom Zenk better known as The Z-Man and in WCW, he would also def. Johnny B. Badd
and with Tully Blanchard, he would hold the NWA World Tag Team Championship (twice) def. The Rock & Roll Express and Lex Luger and Barry Windham
In October of 1988, Arn & Tully would leave Jim Crockett Promotions (which would later become WCW in November after Crockett sold his company to Ted Turner, Turner Broadcasting and WTBS) and they would soon join Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Federation after being underpaid
and during their time with the WWE, Arn & Tully along with manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan became The Brain Busters and in 1989, they def. Strike Force @ Wrestlemania V and then, during the Summer of 1989, on July 18, 1989 they def. Demolition to become the WWE World Tag Team Champions ending Demolition's Reign of almost 16 months (the longest in WWE history) and @ Summerslam, they would def. The Hart Foundation in their only match @ Summerslam and in October of 1989 they would lose their titles back to Demolition
afterwards, Arn Anderson left the WWE b/c he said that he was traveling on the road 24 days a month and he was also concerned about his son and wife and said that he flipped completely out and so, by the end of 1989, he went back to WCW (formally Jim Crockett Promotions) and he would reform the 4 Horsemen with Ric Flair and Ole Anderson who would later become the manager, but then, they would recrute STING as part of the 4 Horsemen, but then, he was kicked out, but then, Barry Windham came back and reunited with the 4 Horsemen, and then they recruit Sid Vicious, but as Ric Flair mentioned, Sid Vicious being a member of the 4 Horsemen was embarassing
But then, Sid Vicious and Arn Anderson got into a fight and it was so violent they were both sent to the hospital and the 4 Horsemen became history once again, but then, with Ric Flair in the WWE, Arn Anderson would join up with Paul Heyman's Dangerous Alliance consisting of the late "Ravishing" Rick Rude, "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton, Larry Zbyszko, Michael P.S. Hayes, "Stunning" Steve Austin (before his Stone Cold Days) and Madusa
Arn would hold the WCW World Tag Team Championship with Bobby Eaton and fellow enforcer Larry Zbyszko
In 1993, Ric Flair cameback to the WCW and he and Arn Anderson would reunite as the founding fathers of the 4 Horsemen against Steve Austin and the late Brian Pillman, but then, Arn Anderson would team up with Paul Roma and they would hold the WCW World Tag Team Championship, but then, the 2 would soon have a match against each other on WCW Main Event when Paul Roma teamed up with Paul Orndorff with their manager The Masked Assassin
Paul Roma would soon leave WCW and Professional Wrestling, and Arn Anderson would team up with Bunkhouse Buck, but then, in 1995, Arn Anderson would soon take on Ric Flair @ Fall Brawl '95 and with help from Brian Pillman, Arn def. his friend Ric Flair and then Arn def. Flair again in a Cage Match, but then in October of 1995, The 4 Horsemen reunited this time, with new alliances Flyin' Brian Pillman (who would leave WCW for ECW and the WWE) and the late Chris Benoit, but then in 1996, Steve "Mongo" McMichaels joined the 4 Horsemen and they would feud with the nWo their managers were the late Woman, the late Miss Elizabeth and Debra (Former mrs. Mongo and Former Mrs. Stone Cold Steve Austin)
and in 1997, with Flair and Arn hurt, Jeff Jarrett joined the 4 Horsemen, but it was short lived and later on, Arn Anderson announced his retirement fro the ring after 15 years
The 4 Horsemen dissolved once again, but a year later, the 4 Horsemen took their final curtain one last time when Arn Anderson became a manager, Chris Benoit, Mongo and Dean Malenko were the final memebers of the 4 Horsemen along with Ric Flair and Nitro took WCW back on top again against RAW, but then, in 1999 after Flair took the power away from Eric Bischoff, Arn Anderson aligned with Flair, but then, after Flair finally lost to STING in the Summer of 1999, Arn Anderson was working off camera, but in January of 2000, Terry Funk along with Arn Anderson aligned with Larry Zbyszko and Paul Orndorff standing up for traditional against Vince Russo and Ed Ferarra, and then, he and Funk guided Sid Vicious to the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against the nWo
Arn stayed with WCW until its demise in 2001 and he would later join up with the WWE, a company he worked for in the late 1980's
Arn was known for more than just his matches, he was known for his promos
Such as the following:
"Be careful what you wish for! We don't wear white hats, we're not nice guys..."
"There are three things you should never do: 1)Don't step on Superman's cape 2) Don't mess with a dog in its own back yard and 3) Don't mess with the Four Horsemen!"
"I don't like to toot my own horn.....but: TOOT, TOOT!"
"Sometimes you gotta wrestle, and those are the days when you need a hat."
"I'm not going to be responsible for what hits next. Because, we don't wear white hats. We are not nice guys. And I can tell you this -- heads are going to roll! So, I've said it. Be careful for what you wish for, because now, you have it. .."
"See, we are the original gang and we're the most vicious in all of professional wrestling history. They send one of yours to the hospital, you send two of theirs to the morgue."
and in January of 2000, he said "You may be the pencil, but I'm gonna be the Eraser."
Today, Arn Anderson is now a Road Agent and he has been a Road Agent for the last 7 years
He also remains Good Friends w/Ric Flair as well as Dean Malenko and many others
and now, @ 50 years old, he still continues to be a Road Agent for the WWE and he is also the Senior Producer of RAW
and he also remains visible on television whenever it involves too security helping people break up fights and he even appears on DVD's for WWE Home Video
Arn resides in Charlotte, NC and he is also married to a Physical Therapist and he has children as well
