Linda: TNA Compitition?

During Thursday’s quarterly conference call for WWE, Linda McMahon was asked to address whether she views TNA as competition or not. She stated that while TNA might be in the same genre, WWE considers all forms of television entertainment as true compeition.

WWE has been consistent in their claims that they consider other non-wrestling television shows and sports broadcasts as more serious competition than TNA.

Yeah Maybe so but just look it TNA. Since it joined spike it keeps failing. Its a shame but its true.

I don't think that TNA is a competition right now, maybe in the future but not in the near future.

No. They will almost assuredly never be competition. Their current writing, production, and announce crew are awful. Of course they could always make some changes. But it's pretty obvious that after three years on Spike TV they're very happy with who they've employed.

I don't think TNA would be competition at all. Just look at the ratings.

^It's got about the same ratings as ECW and Raw's ratings keep dropping.

Monday Night Football
Deal or No Deal
Raising the Bar on TNT
Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?
Dancing with the Stars
NBA on ESPN

UFC PPVS are alot bigger competition than any of those.

I agree bandit and Deal or No Deal would have to be one of the worst TV shows of All time.

TIC you argue with him for no reason at all. Seriously your arguing is getting on my nerves more then anything. And people who pay for PPV's all the time will still be able to buy them when a UFC PPV is on because you can usually buy the WWE pay per view throughout the week it is shown. Like the next day or right after. They repeat it alot. I guess for people who do not want to spend alot of money the UFC PPV might stop them from buying the WWE one.

WWE has other shows competing against them.

RAW is competing against Monday Night Football
ECW is competing against Dancing with the Stars
SD! is competing against Deal or No Deal and Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?

Any form of Entertainment is competing against the WWE

and also, SD! has fallen by the wasteside against The CW as well.

and yes, the WWE NEEDS competition other than having RAW, SD! and ECW competing against one another and other shows on Primetime TV competing against the WWE b/c it's a no win situation for them also.
