More WWE Wrestlers Released

WWE announced the releases of ECW Superstar Elijah Burke and SmackDown Superstar Kenny Dykstra this afternoon.

Burke had not been used in recent months and had been rumored to be returning under a new gimmick at one point. Dykstra was considered the best of the Spirit Squad crew during their run on RAW, but was saddled with a reputation for a bad attitude, which hindered him politically within the company.

In addition to Kenny Dykstra and Elijah Burke being released today, WWE also wished ECW Diva Lena Yada the best in her future endeavors.

Foolish move by WWE. Elijah Burke had the talent and charisma to be a big star for them. I reckon TNA will pick him up now. He'll get more of a chance there.

Kenny Dykstra had potential. I didn't think releasing him was a good idea either although he wasn't as promising as Burke.

Lena Yada? She was pointless.

Elijah Burke was by far the best new ECW Superstar...he carried The New Breed and had damn good charisma. I hope TNA signs him, and to think...one of the new SDvsRaw 09 storylines has him winning the ECW Championship. Stupid Vince.

Paul London, Chuck Palumbo, Super Crazy, Elijah Burke, and Kenny Dykstra have been cut, yet Snitsky is still with the company....what?

Once again Super Crazt quit. I won't ramble on about Kenny and Yada, whos exsistence I just remembered but, seriously WWE you release Burke. Burke has talent and charisma and could easily have made it to the top. For me at least, Burke actually gave me reason to watch WWECW.

Yea, it doesn't make sense. The WWE is releasing it's best wrestlers but are keeping its worse. Looks like they want their rating to drop.

Releasing Burke = bullshit.

At least with TNA he'll be used. Maybe he'll be used as a Ron Killings type guy, a role I can easily see him playing.

With the MEM angle going on, I don't think that it would be a good move for the moment for Elijah Burke to sign with TNA. He'd get lost in the shuffle quite rapidly, instead of making an immediate impact upon his arrival with the promotion. I'm not saying that he shouldn't sign at all but right now would be a bad timing.

I'm not worried about him though, cause I'm sure it's a matter of time before he'll get booked regularly in the indies. As for Kenny Dykstra and Lena Yada, I couldn't care less.

Lena wasnt used much she was just pointless to be there and so was Kenny but the rest had some potential.

Again the WWE screws up, Dykstra, meh, no huge loss, but Burke was one of the best ECW guys going around..Just plain stupid.

Burke...meh, personally I don't care but I can see how he'd be an asset. dykstra....did anyone care? I don't. Lena...um, just typing her name is about all the caring I can muster.

Elijah Burke gone???? Zero sense. Top notch athlete, top notch charisma, top notch WWE Superstar. I don't buy that he was released because "they didn't have anything for him." I want to know the real reason they got rid of him.

Kenny was always overrated in my eyes, and Lena... sad to see the only active Asian chick on the roster gone, but admittedly no loss.
