| Earlier this week, Vince McMahon spoke to the Hollywood Reporter and had some harsh words regarding TNA Wrestling's television programming. The WWE Chairman said:
“My concern with TNA is that they are TV-14, and we are PG. They have to change with the times. I think some of the things they do on television are reprehensible, but it is a TV-14 rating. That's the only bone I have to pick with them. Their TV ratings are a fraction of ours.”
Now, TNA President Dixie Carter is firing back at Vince, claiming that what happens on the PG-rated Monday Night Raw is worse than anything on TNA iMPACT! Carter told the UK Sun:
“I think it’s wonderful that Vince watches TNA iMPACT. “And I agree with him that things such as the brutal beating of a sixty-year-old man [Jericho-Flair], a vicious home invasion [Triple H-Orton] and gratuitous man-on-woman violence [Orton-Stephanie] can be seen as reprehensible – and that’s just the last three Monday nights.”
While Vince can make the argument that some of TNA's more outlandish angles (such as Samoa Joe putting a knife to Scott Steiner's throat) are "reprehensible," it's his own WWE product that bears the family-friendly TV-PG rating and is overtly marketed to children.

| Dixie Carter should probably be caring more about finding a way to improve TNA booking rather than get offended by what Vince McMahon thinks about her product.
And yes, improving the product means firing Vince Russo.

| Excuse me, but she's right on the money and Vince Russo has nothing to do with this.
I mean, why are we seeing stuff on WWE that is NOT family oriented?
I mean, RKO attacking Stephanie, Vickie Guerrero having adulteress affairs, and not to mention, using a Sledgehammer?
That's not called Family Oriented and plus, she wasn't attacking WWE, but she was giving out her opinion.
TNA isn't meant to be Family Oriented.
and FYI, Vince Russo is an agent, not a booker.
I would rather have him than Eric Bischoff for that matter, but that's for another topic.
and plus, last week, TNA got good ratings, but it's trying to grow, give it some more time.
and I am not attacking you BTW.
Why are you offended whenever somebody gives an opinion about the WWE?

| Last time I checked, Vince Russo was considered a writer. I don't know how in the hell he became an agent but still, there's no deny in the fact that booking is a serious problem in TNA at the moment. The Main Event Mafia angle is really stale at the moment and everyone knows that Sting is about to break out of the group.
As for Dixie's comments towards WWE, I can see her point about the recent angles but personally, I don't have any problem with anything portrayed on TV recently. It's not different from any hit TV series we see every week. WWE is pulling all the stops for Wrestlemania in 2 weeks so I'm expecting shocking events to boost the ratings. We shall not forget that although WWE wants to be more family-oriented, they can't push aside the other demographics that are watching RAW, Smackdown or ECW so you have to cater to everyone as much as possible. Some people on the IWC complains about the actual use of a character like Hornswoggle or the direction of John Cena's character but they are hugely over with the kids so in that sense, the marketing department is doing one helluva job.
As for me being offended whenever there's a WWE critic? Personally, I am not. I've been involved in the business a few years myself and I've seen how it's like so nothing surprises me anymore. But I find it quite ironic to see promotions claiming to be a viable alternative to Vince McMahon when their booking logic has more holes than swiss cheese.

| TNA isn't a threat to WWE at all...
TNA's highest show has the same rating as the lowest show on WWE television.
ROH and CZW are more of a threat to the WWE just because they appeal to a specific audience.

| Well let me put it to all this way:
No Wrestling Company has clean hands, but WWE has had their hands dirty for a long time.
TNA isn't perfect, but @ least they don't promote Male on Female Violence or stuff like that on iMPACT! b/c otherwise, SPIKE TV would have to either warn them or fine them.
and also, who cares if TNA is a threat to the WWE or not a threat to the WWE, TNA is a young company that has a long ways to go.
These things take time and I'm pulling for them.
I could careless about ROH or CZW
That's not my thing. | |

| WWF promoted steroids when they pushed Hogan so far, it is sad that WCW did the same damn thing when they had greats like Flair and STING.
WWF pisses me off. Lazy bastards can't even train a decent wrestler.
