| Past his prime, but unfortunately at his prime WWE never put many titles on this guy. He's had some great storylines and has been a dedicated employee. | |

| I was in attendence on Oct 5, 1997, at the Kiel Auditorium (now known as the Savvis Center) in downtowm St. Louis, for WWF In Your House: Badd Blood. Shawn Micheals vs. Undertaker, Hell in a Cell (one of the few WWF/E matches to get a five star rating from Dave Meltzer) when Kane made his debut. They had been building the story for weeks, and I personally thought it was a bit over the top and cheesy sounding, but that night everyone was on their feet and blown away by Kane's awesome debut. It was sadly the same day that Brian Pillman was found dead in his hotel room, so we can mark that anniversary too. I remember Pillman and Goldust had been doing the Triple X-Files feud and were supposed to have a match that night. They announced Pillmans death on the ppv broadcast, but they had not made an announcement to those of us in attendence, so we had no idea why they didn't have that match until the next day. I just re-watched the ppv a couple of months ago... it's surprising how many wrestlers you can see besides Pillman who aren't alive anymore... But yeah, a decade of destruction, that's a good name for it. | |
