- Big Update On The Futures Of DX
Posted by: Wrestling-Radio.com
-- This Sunday, Shawn Michaels will wrestle his first match since losing to the Undertaker at WrestleMania back in April. According to the sources, HBK will be working a very light schedule moving forward and is not booked on any live events in September.
There has reportedly been some talk of running DX vs. Legacy as the final match on Sunday's Summerslam pay-per-view. A lot will come down to how WWE books the finishes of the WWE and World Championship matches; if creative scripts neither match to culminate with a happy ending, it might opt to put the tag grudge match on last to send the fans home satisfied.
DX vs. Legacy closing the show is, nonetheless, still a long shot--in the past, rumors that a non-title bout would close the show have typically proven false. The major evidence supporting the rumor, at press time, is the fact that WWE's websites are billing DX vs. Legacy as a featured attraction. On Summerslam.com, the match has been moved to the "main event" category (alongside CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy and John Cena vs. Randy Orton). On WWE.com, DX vs. Legacy has the highest billing.

| Meh, I think It'd be stupid to have something like that as the main event. I know that DX are huge, but still they aren't Champions. The most important things in the WWE are the two heavyweight belts, so they should be after a simple tag team match, no matter who are in it. | |

| I don't think that will happen. DX vs. The Spirit Squad was the main event at Vengence 2006, but I doubt that Summer Slam will go that ay. I feel that the WHC/WWE title should be the main event in every PPV and the Summer Slam main event should be Punk vs. Hardy. | |

| Another misleading title to the post. This has nothing to do with the future of DX.
There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON THAT DX SHOULD BURY LEGACY RIGHT NOW. Randy Orton is the champion. If he is truly breeding Rhodes and DiBiase as future champions as well, a win over two legends and former heavyweight champions would be HUGE to (pardon the expression) cement their legacy.
On to the topic of the positioning of the match in the card... agreed, it has no place in the main event, and I feel it would be best inserted immediately prior to Orton vs. Cena.

| Here is how it should be DX vs. Legacy, followed by Cena vs. Orton, and the main event is Hardy vs. Punk. | |

| WWE just needs to stop trying to do all these DX reunions. They're nowhere near as big as they were back in the 90's. Really WWE, have you learned nothing from the nWo? | |

| Well TLK, You leave them for 8 months and bring DX back for a month and it attracts viewers. I honestly don't see a problem with it. Young kids still enjoy as do some of the older audience. It is not like there doing it every two months or something | |

| True. But still, it's like burying a big turd, then someone else digs it up, then buries it again, then the process just repeats! | |

| Yeah true, But it is the same with Hogan. Us net fans cannot stand it but WWE know that the kids and the Immature adults are still going to go crazy when they see that saggy Hogan on there TV's. It is the same with DX, Net fans hate it but the other fans love it. | |

DX is still as popular as ever. The live crowd loves DX and , if Shawn was to commite to wrestling full time, they could be as big as ever. The reuniting of DX, back in 06, was huge, and it lasted about 3 months longer then planned because people loved it. This is nothing like the nWo, by the way. Some fans are not going to be happy with it, but an overwhelming majority wants to see DX. I don't think that it will last much past Breaking Point.
