Hey guys, here's a question for all of you fans of WCW:
Now, only 6 men have held every Major Title in WCW
STING, Lex Luger, Diamond Dallas Page, Chris Benoit, Scott Steiner and Booker T.
That's right, these 6 men have held the following championships:
WCW World Heavyweight Championship
WCW World Tag Team Championship
WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship
WCW World Television Championship
But there have been 5 men who have held every title except for the WCW World World Heavyweight Championship
Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Scott Hall, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rick Steiner and Konnan
NWA Legend Ricky Steamboat has held the NWA World Tag Team Titles w/the late Jay Youngblood and Paul Jones and the WCW World Tag Team Titles w/"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and "The Franchise" Shane Douglas and he's also held the NWA/WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship def. Ric Flair, Dick Slater and Steve Austin and he held the NWA/WCW World Television Championship def. Steve Austin and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff
Scott Hall has held the WCW World Tag Team Titles 5 times 4 w/"Big Sexy" Kevin Nash and 1 w/"The Giant" Paul Wight, he's also held the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Title twice def. Rowdy Roddy Piper and Bret "The Hitman" Hart and he held the WCW World Television Title when he won via forfeit from Rick Steiner
Steve Austin has held the WCW World Tag Team Championship w/the late Brian Pillman and he won the WCW World Television Championship from Barry Windham and he won the U.S. Heavyweight Championship when he def. Dustin Rhodes in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match @ Starrcade '93
Rick Steiner on the other hand has held Tag Team Gold with different partners including his brother Scott Steiner
He also held the NWA/WCW World Television Championship when he def. Mike Rotundo, Booker T. and Chris Benoit and he won the U.S. Heavyweight Championship from The Franchise Shane Douglas
Konnan on the other hand has won the WCW World Tag Team Championship w/Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman and he won the WCW World Television Championship when he def. Chris Jericho in 1998 and just 1 week before SuperBrawl in 1996, he won his 1st Championship which is the U.S. Heavyweight Championship when he def. The One Man Gang
But neither of these 5 men have held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship
Austin was fired by Eric Bischoff in 1995 and then he jumped ship to the World Wrestling Federation and as for Rick Steiner and Konnan, they stayed with WCW until its closure in 2001
However, only 2 of these men have held World Heavyweight Championship Gold in different organizations:
Ricky Steamboat has held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in the NWA/WCW Days when he def. Ric Flair @ Chi-Town Rumble '89 and Stone Cold Steve Austin has held the WWE Heavyweight Championship 6 times ni the World Wrestling Federation def. Shawn Michaels, Kane, The Undertaker, The Rock and Kurt Angle
Ricky Steamboat has also competed for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against the likes of Vader and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair
Scott Hall has also competed for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against The Icon known as STING
and so, I ask you all this:
Do you think that Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Scott Hall, Stunning Steve Austin, Rick Stiener and Konnan would've been the WCW World Heavyweight Champion?
That's the Question!
Please share your thoughts on all of this.
