Anime

^Okay. Before you do, unlike DBZ (which jumps into it), Yu Yu Hakusho takes quite a while to get into the fighting and all that, so I wouldn't neccessarily start at the beginning. I think it takes like, six episodes of just getting to how Yusuke becomes spirit detective (it's no weirder than the plot and DBZ so...), so I definitely would suggest starting some point elsewhere within the story. I think about episode fourteen they start my favorite portion of the SD (spirit detective) arc. According to wiki, that part is only eight episodes.

What exactly was season 3? They've had a lot of seasons, I don't remember anymore... I think that was the season after Tracy (whatever his name was) left and Brock came back. I'm probably wrong.

It was that, yes. Although from season 3 on, I didn't pay much attention

DBZ is THE way to write a shonen manga/anime, but compared to some other series, it's not the best. DBZ made the canvas, while series like Yu Yu Hakusho and One Piece made the masterpieces.

Still better then Takahashi's crap, like Inuyasha and Ranma 1/2. :3
