WWE's SmackDown is brought to you Live from the home of the world's best barbecue sauce, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A new opening video begins the program and we come right into Ford Center for the entrance of Montel Vontavious Porter. Introductions are made as we see MVP and Dolph Ziggler in the ring and we're set for an Intercontinental Championship match.

Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. MVP
Intercontinental Title match

Ziggler's on top early on and he goes to put a sleeper on MVP. MVP forces him away and Ziggler eventually falls to ringside. Just then we see Nexus members Michael Tarver, Heath Slater, David Otunga and Justin Gabriel make their way toward the ring. They come manacingly down the ramp and the ref calls for the bell as Nexus take apart first Dolph Ziggler and then MVP.
No Contest.

Nexus stalk, corner and then pummel MVP in the ring after doing a number on Ziggler at ringside. Justin Gabriel finishes off MVP with a 450 splash. We next hear the crowd cheer though as the world's largest athlete makes his way to the ring. Big Show marches fearlessly into the realm of Nexus and he's then quadruple-teamed and battered to ringside. John Cena's music hits and he runs full speed down to the ring, but again Nexus run the show. Just then, Big Show comes in with a steel chair! He smashes Heath Slater in the back and Nexus escape to then retreat up the ramp. Wade Barrett, leader of Nexus, comes on screen to promise everyone that this is the last time they will have seen Nexus beat down John Cena because "come Sunday at Hell In A Cell, Cena will become part of Nexus." Barrett then says that he's friends with the President of Syfy and his friend has given him the liberty of suggesting some matches for tonight's Premiere of SmackDown. Teddy Long reluctantly then announces that Big Show will face all of Nexus in a Five-on-One Handicap match. John Cena will face the Devil's Favorite Demon, the World's Heavyweight Champion; Kane!
I actually wanted to see this match and I was not expecting Nexus to show up that soon. I thought this was a pretty cool way to start SD.

When we come back from commercials we see that RAW's Michael Cole has joined the commentary team. He joins Todd Grisham and Matt Striker and the trio tell of how tonight we'll be seeing the matches mentioned before the break, and we'll have The UnderTaker against the Straight-Edge Saviour CM Punk.

Lay-Cool, Maryse & Alicia Fox vs. Natalya Neidhart, Kelly Kelly and The Bella's

Four on four Diva's tag action and SmackDown is certainly off to a flier. Emphasis is on Natalya as the commentary team remind us that Nattie became the number one contender to the Unified Diva's Championship this past Monday Night on RAW. The match goes on and Alicia Fox gets in on the action. The Bella's do well and then so too does Kelly Kelly against members of Lay-Cool. There's a spell when Lay-Cool are hunted by Hornswoggle at ringside. Their attentions are distracted from the match and in the ring we see Natalya legal and she makes Maryse tap out with the Sharpshooter!
Winners: Natalya, Kelly Kelly and The Bella's!
I don't think I have ever cheered for McCool, until she kicked Swaggle in the head. The match was OK and I am happy to see Natalya wrestling more.

When we come back from commercials we see that the ring has been dawned in a red carpet and various college-type apparel of the All-American American Jack Swagger. Swagger makes his entrance with a dressed up American Eagle mascot. Swagger says that has a major announcement to make, but he first wants to tell everyone that he has a problem with everyone in Oklahoma. He says that he put the state of Oklahoma on the map and he goes on to moan about how insulting he finds it to return to his home-state and not have a "Jack Swagger Day." Swagger says that he and his personal mascot, the Swagger Soarring Eagle, have moved out of Oklahoma to a bigger and better state; Texas. The crowd boo as Michael Cole finds this enthralling. Swagger talks about the college football game tomorrow and he says that people shouldn't even show up because Texas will wipe the floor with them. Swagger says that he is The King and he here-by proclaims himself has the official undesputed King of Oklahoma. He puts on a crown as the mascot cheers him on and then he demands the crowd worship him. Music hits, it's Edge! The Rated 'R' SuperStar comes down to the ring and Swagger says that the fans should to ignore Edge and continue to worship him. Edge states that after beating up a laptop on Monday Night RAW, he's making it his personal mission to rid the WWE Universe - on RAW or SmackDown - of anything that is "Stupid." Edge and Swagg argue about why this coronation is or isn't stupid. Swagger then blocks himself with the Thwagger Thorring Eagle to escape out of the ring and in the end Edge spears Swagger's mascot. The fans cheer Edge as Swagger backs off up the stage.
It appears that Edge has turned face and this segment was funny. Especially when Edge made fun of Swaggers lisp.

Next the commentary team tell us that tonight's Cena/Kane match will have Nexus as Lumberjacks! Backstage Wade Barrett converses with his team-mates and he tells them that he has it on good authority that if any of SmackDown's roster attack them then they will immediatley be suspended. He talks about the Lumberjack match and Nexus discuss strategies.

Dashing Cody Rhodes gives us a grooming tip that brings us one step closer to "Dashing."

Nexus vs. Big Show
Five-on-One Handicap match

This is not tag rules, there are no rules really as Nexus batter Big Show into the corner. Grisham, Striker and Cole talk about what John Cena has on the line this Sunday. In the ring, something never seen before, Big Show's taken to the canvas and each Nexus member takes an arm or a leg and Barrett takes the head for Nexus to systemattically choke-out the Big Show. Show can't tap, he can't crawl, he can't react and this one's over as the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Nexus.
I am never really excited to see Big Show do anything, but I thought the 5 man submission hold was pretty clever.

After the match Justin Gabriel hits two 450's on Show as Oklahoma boo's the Nexus.

When we come back we see that during the commercial Big Show found it troublesome to make his way to the back. He was accompanied by a medic and Grisham, Striker and Cole talk about how devastating Nexus' performance was here tonight. We fade into a video package that focusses on the rivalry between Kane and his brother The UnderTaker. We see how up until Night of Champions Kane had been on top, but last week SmackDown brought us the return of Paul Bearer and the infamous urn. Has the balance of power shifted again or will Kane's reign of terror continue as this Sunday the sibling rivalry open's the gates of hell, Hell In A Cell!
Awesome vignette to promo HIAC

CM Punk vs. The UnderTaker

UnderTaker is scary, he's eerily enigmatic and 'Taker dominates this contest from the get-go. He's very different from his demeanor at Night of Champions. 'Taker hits his leg-drop on the apron, he nails Punk with Old School and he thwarts any of Punk's attacks by sitting up after Punk hits a high knee and a bulldog. UnderTaker looks like The UnderTaker we saw at WrestleMania, The UnderTaker who ended the career of Shawn Michaels and in the ring we see 'Taker hit the Snake Eyes before taking CM Punk up and chokeslamming him straight to hell. 'Taker then toys with the soul of CM Punk and finally puts his nail in Punk's coffin with a deadly Tombstone! One! Two! Three!

Winner: The UnderTaker!
This was a little more then a sqaush, but I was entertained and The Undertaker is back at full strength and ready for Kane.

Alberto Del-Rio makes an entrance upon SmackDown's return and he talks about himself as "one of the greatest of all time." He says that he's here to introduce the man who's arm he broke. He wants to say he's sorry. He introduces "Rey Mysterio" and we see Del-Rio's ring announcer bring out a small dog, that has a Mysterio-like mask on. Del-Rio talks to the dog and says sorry for breaking his arm. He kisses the dog and wipes his mouth to then get dawned with the entrance of the real Rey Mysterio. Mysterio marches down the ramp and he goes right after Alberto Del-Rio. Del-Rio's flash suit takes a few creases as Rey sets up the 6-1-9, but then we have Del-Rio's ring announcer get involved. Del-Rio escapes, but Rey makes an example out of Del-Rio's host and finishes him with a 6-1-9.
Del Rio was boring again and Mysterio was exactly the same as usual, also boring.

Quote :
Randy Orton vs. Dashing Cody Rhodes w/ Drew McIntyre
Cody Rhodes used to be under the wing of Orton when he was part of Legacy with Ted DiBiase jr. That group disbanded at WrestleMania and right here in Oklahoma we're seeing what Rhodes learned from the Viper. Cody's sinister as he smashes Orton into the ring-post at ringside before getting a Two-count in the ring. Rhodes tries to wear Orton down, but the WWE Champion evades a springboard kick to then nail Cody with an emphatic RKO! 'One! Two! Three!' chant the crowd and this one's over.

Winner: Randy Orton.

After the match Orton's music hits, but Drew McIntyre comes in to attack. He tries a Future-Shock DDT, but Orton sends him head over heels to then nail the other half of the Tag Champions with an RKO! The fans go crazy, but then Sheamus out of nowhere comes in to spoil the party. The Celtic Warrior levels Orton with the Brogue kick as the commentary team talk about Sheamus' new forearm apparel (wrist-band/tape). "The fiery hand of Ireland" is in full effect. What will happen Sunday when these two men face-off for the WWE Title?!
It also a squash match, but fun to watch none the less.

Kane vs. John Cena
Lumberjack match - Nexus are Lumberjacks

Kane is on top in the early going and the Big Red Monster does well to floor Cena early to get a Two-count. Kane sends Cena to ringside and Nexus of course batter and beat him before throwing him back into the ring with Kane. The World Champion dominates Cena in SmackDown's season Premiere. Cena gets a few hits in, but nothing stops Kane other than himself. Kane misses the clothesline off the top rope and Cena goes on to hit a series of shoulder barges and he then performs the Five-Knuckle Shuffle. Kane soon falls to ringside and Nexus don't attack. They climb the apron and target Cena and it's not long before both Kane and Cena are fighting off Nexus members. Cena eventually ends up backing off up the ramp. Meanwhile Kane's back in the ring and the lights go out *BONG*...
Match thrown out.

*BONG* UnderTaker's in the ring and he attacks his brother. 'Taker stalks Kane and he persues him as the fight goes into the crowd. Kane comes back into it, but 'Taker is always in control. They fight back to ringside and 'Taker smashes Kane's head off the top of the steel stairs. UnderTaker unloads on Kane as he mounts him and batters him with hard right hands at ringside. Cena and Nexus are nowhere to be seen as this is all about the gate-keepings of hell. Kane gets on top back in the ring and Kane slaps his hand around 'Taker's neck for a chokeslam but then we see Paul Bearer with the urn and 'Taker overpowers Kane to chokeslam the World Champion! UnderTaker signals for the Tombastone, but Kane rolls out of the ring and backs off as far as he can. *BONG* What's going to happen this Sunday when the brothers collide once more for the World Heavyweight Championship inside Hell In A Cell?!

The match was pretty good from the start and it was cool to see Kane confront The Nexus. This match pretty much turned into a fight between Kane and Taker and it was awesome. Awesome SD, I hope they keep this kind of thing going.
