Current TNA wrestler, and former WWE star, Kurt Angle has shockingly announced via his official Twitter account that he intends to go to rehab following his DWI arrest

As has been widely reported, Angle, who parted ways with WWE in 2006, was arrested earlier Friday in Texas (TNA held an Impact taping in the state Thursday night).

Discussing the incident, TMZ noted that this is Angle's fourth DWI/DUI arrest in six years. That's right: four times in six years.

No matter how you want to look at it, that is simply awful.

Seriously, why can't Angle, who has made millions of dollars from wrestling in WWE and TNA, get himself a professional driver to chauffeur him from place to place?

But regardless of how appalled we may be with Angle for his driving antics, at least the star isn't making any excuses for his behavior. He has admitted he needs help and announced that he will soon enter a rehabilitation facility for his issues:

Of course, this will undoubtedly throw TNA's on-screen product into disarray (Angle has been positioned in a top angle with MMA stars Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Tito Ortiz) and give the already-troubled company yet another headache. But that isn't really the priority here. Angle's well-being is.

It will also be interesting to see if news emerges about WWE paying for Angle's stint in rehab.

The company has a well-known and long-standing policy of paying for the treatment of any current or former employees. Even to the point it has spent a small fortune paying for the multiple rehab stints of troubled star Scot Hall, as Stephanie McMahon acknowledged in a 2011 interview via E:60's Ben Houser.

If Angle wants to end his career in WWE like he claims, he should take this very seriously.
