12 years ago; Lex Luger wins the WCW World Title from Hogan

Hey guys, I want to take you back to 12 years ago this month:

Lex Luger beats Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the 100th Edition of WCW Monday Nitro

Hulk Hogan ruled the wrestling world on WCW Monday Nitro for almost one full year as WCW World Heavyweight Champion. The Total Package Lex Luger was one of the WCW competitors ready to get rid of the nWo, and he went straight to the top to cut them down. Much to the delight of the crowd in Auburn Hills, Mich., Luger slapped on the Torture Rack, and Hogan tapped out to give The Total Package the WCW World Heavyweight Championship for the 2nd time.

and now, 12 years later, Lex Luger is now a Born Again Christian and is Writing Christian Magazines and he has also recovered from a stroke in his leg and he also makes appearances in Wrestling Events and Reunions

and as for Hulk Hogan, he is still in the Media

Luger was a terrible wrestler, all he had was his roided up look.

Wel I'm a Lex Luger fan and a WCW Fan

Sure he wasn't the best wrestler, but you got give him his props for standing up for WCW against the nWo and for going out and doing his best.

and also, Ric Flair said on the DVD that they didn't give him time to develop his skills and Flair didn't blame Luger, he blamed Jim Crockett Promotions.

But also, Hogan losing the belt and winning it back was WORSE.

But that was a great moment for WCW during the Monday Night WAR.

You may not like Lex Luger, but I'm glad that he's doing well ever since he had overcome a stroke that ended his wrestling career and I'm also glad that he has turned his life around.

He never belonged in the 4 Horseman

Well like I said:

That was the promotions fault, but I will do a topic on The 4 Horsemen in due time.

Actually in 1987 Luger was a member of the 4 Horsemen. Besides in main stream wrestling its not if you can wrestle, but if you can draw and sell...which Luger was able to do.

I'm a fan of Lex Luger and you're right on about being able to draw and sell out which he did when he cameback to WCW back in 1995 and boy did he ever.

Well the thing is, very rarely can guys in WWE, WCW, AWA, or NWA wrestle because they are so big they can't pull off some wrestling moves. But Luger was perfect in the WCW Southern Style, which really used a lot of brawling instead of actual wrestling. Which was why guys like Sting, Hogan, Goldberg, and Savage were bigger then Hart, Jarrett, and Benoit.
