Quote :
Despite an apparent real-life feud, Jeff Jarrett noted Kurt Angle as the best in-ring performer in the history of the wrestling industry during a media appearance in Australia over the weekend.

"He doesn't have a peer in this business for his ability once the bell rings," Jarrett said. "From bell to bell I think he may be the best this business has ever produced."

Is this just to make this real life feud thing over with? I really don't think Angle is one of the greatest wrestlers ever. He may be one of the best technical wrestlers in a long time however.

I would say that he is one of the best of all time, but certianly not the best. He could be the best TNA has had, since it came to be in 2002.

This is just to make TNA and Jarrett as a person look good. Deep down Jarrett hates Angle and that is his problem. Stating someone is a good wrestler doesn't say that he has no beef with him.

First off let me start off by saying Angle has the potential to be the best ever, should he wrestle into his 50s. Second off, Angle got a John Cena like push in the WWE. He was unbeaten for the longest time, he turned around and won almost every belt that was there to win. He's done almost the same in TNA, and he could do the same elsewhere should he leave TNA. I will say this, if Angle left TNA in favor of RoH just like I suspect Homicide would, well then I feel like he could possibly win all of RoH's championships as well.

That being said, Ric Flair is the best ever. No doubt. Period. Benoit would be second had he lived long enough to do so. But right now its a very short list for Angle to climb. Flair had the benefit of working for two global promotions, where as Angle only has the benefit of working for one. Also you've got to consider the fact that Angle is already a better technical wrestler than Ric Flair because he's had the experince in the amateur wrestling. Which actually makes a huge difference.

In the end I think Angle could be the best the business has produced in a long time.

Angle's bad neck and his legal problems will keep him from being better then Flair. Flair is by far the best of all time. Though Flair was not the greatest technical wrestler, he was the greatest at everything else. Mic work, ring physcology, big matches, everything.

He oversold a lot of the time, and mic work only gets you so far anymore.

But I agree, had Angle not hurt his neck or not been fucking Rhaka Khan then he'd of been right up there.

Though he has been injury prone, he has gotten better with age. He also has had a career that few have had. He has really wrestled just about every superstar of the last 10 years. Austin, Taker, HHH, Cena, Beniot, Joe, Styles, Sting, the list goes on and not many can say that.

No no. He's definitely not the best ever. I'd rank Kurt Angle up there in the top 20 or so. But the best ever? Ric Flair, for sure. Kurt Angle's career spans ten years and although he's achieved a lot in that period of time and had numerous brilliant matches, that doesn't compare to Flair's longevity as a performer at the top level. I don't know what Jeff Jarrett's game is here but calling Angle the best ever isn't correct in my opinion.

Jarrett is trying to put over his promotion and that is why he would say something like this. Watch TNA, we have the greatest wreslter of all time kind of thing. I would put Kurt Angle in the top 20 someplace as well. How can he jump other great technical wrestlers like Bret Hart or WWE guys that have had long, successful careers like Taker and HBK?
