Favorite of the Current World Champions? (Cena/Punk/Christian)

Who is your favorite as Champion out of the current Champ's:

John Cena (WWE Champion)

C.M. Punk (World Heavyweight Champion)

Christian (ECW Champion)

Note:

I know the ECW title ain't considered World Championship material no more but it would be boring with Just Punk and Cena and would have an obvious result.

Anyway, I am going with Christian here.

To me, Punk as a heel is stale and it is just a cheesy side of his persona. For some reason I prefer him as a face in WWE instead of me preferring him as a heel in ROH. He was definitely given more freedom to develop his character and not come out corny like he does in WWE. Christian on the other hand can cut the great promo's wheather he is a Face or a Heel. Definitely the definition of great segments. Then we have Cena ... Cena. Yeah I like the guy, but he is always the same. Some random guy badmouths him, You have an over top feud where he hands your ass to you. It is never different and it gets dull.

Promo's though are not always what makes a great champion. It usually boils down to In ring ability and to me, Christian gets the cake here as well.

Firstly lets get the easiest one out the way ... Cena. Cena is too predictable as an in ring wrestler and always hits the same lot of moves in a row for the finish for his match. Kinda like with Taker with 'Snake Eyes, Big Boot and Choke slam' except there is like 5 moves. it gets annoying and doesn't make him look good in the ring.

Punk is a great wrestler on the other hand and too be honest is probably just as good as Christian. His move set is usually fresh and could do some high Energy moves which the crowd loves (GTS etc.).

Christian can do the same as Punk in this respect but what Christian can do as well is adjust too different enviroments really well. See Mysterio is depicked as a high Flyer, Taker is a Brawler, Big Show is a Big Man and Morrison is a showboater but Christin ... Well he is everything really. he can fight with Mark henry, Then fight Chavo and fight completely different. It takes a great Wrestler to do that and that is why I feel Christin is the best of the three Champions.

CM Punk has carried SD since his heel turn. I have loved his promos, the night he came out dressed as Hardy was briliant and he has had great main event matches for months now.

Punk has 20-25 minutes of great wrestling, no matter who it is against. Mysterio, Morrison, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, all great TV matches.

CM Punk definitely .... i like Cena, nothing against him, really, and Christian is alrighty ... but Punk is just gold and i'm glad they finally turned him heel, so i hope they push him in the right position and make the most out of his talent as heel

I like Christian, but I don't consider the WWECW title a World Title. It is an undercard title that is really lower then IC/US titles. Having the star power of Christian on ECW has been great for ECW and he has been great, since his WWE return, but the WWECW title isn't a World Title.

Christian. It's not fair that they dont count the WWECW title as a main title and CHristiian is just a great overall wrestler.

When Christain holds it, it has prestige, but when say Jack Swagger had it, not so much. No way Zack Ryder would challenge for the WHC/WWE Championship, so the WWECW title is not a World Title and it probably never will be. As long as undercard guys carry it, it will not be a World Title. Zack Ryder gets his title shot on ECW nect week, so that probably means the ECW title will no be defended at HIAC. World Titles headline PPV's and they sell PPV's. No one would buy Zack Ryder in the main event of a PPV. Maybe 2 years from now, but no way that match would sell PPV's. The only way he will get in a PPV match is if it is at Bragging Rights and he is one of the 3 guys in a match.

The WWECW title isn't a World belt and Sykesy mentions that in the first post, adding Christian just makes it more interesting.

Anyways, starting off with John Cena. I do like Cena and I'd much rather have him be champion than Orton. Cena can also have some pretty kick ass matches like that hour one with HBK (and no, Shawn didn't carry it). The problem with Cena is he tends to be repitive, which is really bad. A lot of his matches work the same way and same with his promos but, I normally like his promos. I would like to see Cena turn heel but, as I've made the case before, that needs to wait for a five months at least. Cena comes in last place for me.

Now for the difficult part, Punk or Christian? Starting off, promo wise...I have to agree with Sykesy. To a lesser extent that is. Punks promo where he dressed up like Hardy is brillant and I loved it but, overall Punk is repitive in his promos. Just like Jericho, all his promos consist of the same thing. Jericho is a perfect example because we know he could do much better promos and based off promos I've seen of Punk in ROH, I know him heel could be ten times better than it is now. I actually enjoyed Punks promos in WWE as a face, some of the ones he had with JBL were very enjoyable. The point is though, he tends to be repitive which really hinders his promos for me while Christian is not so repitive and is always great on the mic. So, promo wise, I give it to Christian.

In-ring wise is a different story. I have to go with Punk here, I've loved most of the matches I've seen him with (still don't care for the Jeff ones, I saw on Smackdown) and his matches are always the highlight of the show for me. Though, the same could be said about Christian. I'm giving Punk the win in ring wise but, it's not by much. For example, the only reason Zack Ryder is getting a title match is because of his match with Christian a month or so ago.

Altogther, I'd probably go with Punk but, that could easily change to Christian.

I happen to really like Cena's promos. He always brings a firy passion that makes me want to see some get their ass kicked, much like Austin use. He is no Austin, but I do love the passion in is promos. I agree with Y2JX about Cena's matches though. They tend to be short and almost carbon copies. Here are my favorite Cena matchs. Cena vs. Umaga at RR 2007, vs. Edge at Summer Slam 2006, vs. Edge at Unforgiven 2006, vs Edge at Backlash 2009, vs. Kurt Angle at Unforgiven 2005, vs. HHH at WM22(excpet for the HHH tapping out part) and I think he has had a good series of matches with both HHH and Orton...

I will agree that Punk's promo's have gotten a little repative, but I still love it when he trashes Hardy. I give the promo to Punk by a long shot and that might be because he gets many more meaningful promo segements on SD.

Christian is a great champion, but he has too much competition in Cena/Punk. We're talking about one guy who's the biggest draw(now that Hardy's gone), without a doubt, in the company, and the most refreshing heel to come along in years.

Apparently the latest Cena-Orton match was amazingly brilliant. However, I haven't been watching PPV recently, so I can only go by weekly TV, and in that case CM Punk gets my vote. It's amazing how the guy is being allowed to be his-self in promos and hold the title at the same time.

Just as a side-note: It's funny how my two favorite wrestlers and one that's always on the brink of top 5 are champions, yet I've stopped ordering PPV's.

CM Punk by far. John Cena's act has been played out for a loooooong time. And Christian, well he is a great wrestler, and it is actually tough for me to decide between him and Punk, but I like Punk so much more.

Christian is a very good wrestler, but Punk is a fantastic wrestler. He can do many different styles. While he was feuding with Regal, over the IC title, Regal said that he is the only one that can go hold for hold with him.

Once all three titles have changed hands or Two out of three have changed hands I will lock this thread and make a new one guys.
