Confirmed: Rev. Al Sharpton To Host Monday Night Raw on 9/28

September 18, 2009 - We learned last Monday that Cedric the Entertainer was set to host this upcoming Monday's RAW, but now we know who'll be hosting the show the following week. It's none other than the Reverend Al Sharpton!

We're used to certain odd-fellows showing up on RAW these days, but what could Al Sharpton possibly have to promote? Why, it's "Achievement Gap" Tour - which will feature Sharpton hitting the road with, of all people, Former House Secretary Newt Gingrich, and Education Secretary Arne Duncan. With stops in Philly, New Orleans, Baltimore and Atlanta, Sharpton and Gingrich will be raising awareness for the "achievement gap" currently facing public schools in the U.S. and highlighting the efforts to reform public education.

Could there even be a remote possibility of seeing Gingrich on RAW? I smell new Tag Team Champions.

Oh dear god...Al Sharpton is the biggest horses ass yet.

I can see ratings dropping dramatically.

I have no idea why this will happen. It is a terrible choice and I don't know how this is supposed to draw people that don't usually watch Raw.

The guest host thing has officially run its course. I loved seeing Bob Barker on television again, but he belongs on the set of a game show, NOT the Raw stage. This is just getting ridiculous. Vince needs to give Raw back to the wrestlers, and remove the bogus guest host element from things.

Unless they get a blockbuster celeb or someone that has been in the wrestling business, this thing has run it's course. Who care about Cedric or Al Sharpton? I feel that this guest host thing is losing steam and that it will end fairly soon.

I can live with Cedric The Entertainer. But Al Sharpton? Seriously?
