Titans V. Young to start on Sunday

They have to see if Young can play sooner or later, but the coach should be making those decisions.

Vince Young had his chance to play and threw about ten more picks then he did TD's. He had his chance, he is terribly inaccurate, and I think they should try and trade him, if they could get anything remotely valueable. This years draft is going to have some fantastic QB's, McCoy, Bradford, Clauson, just to name a few. They should try and get one of those guys. I knew Young was way overhyped when he was still in collage. He sucks it in the NFL.

Is he a good running quarterback at all like Vick?

He is not as fast as Vick was, but he is a very strong runner. He goes about 220 or so and he is very hard to take down.

How often do players in the NFL change positions? Like in other sports you have 2B/SS (MLB), SG/SF (NBA), RW/LW (NHL). Could he convert to a running-back?

Most of the time, the change comes right after collage. Hines Ward (WR) played QB at Goergia. Former Jax WR Matt Jones was a QB at Arkanssa.
The transition would be very hard and it would take 2 or 3 seasons to get results. Devon Hester(Bears WR) came into the league as a CB and did kicking and punt returns. He is in his second season as a full time WR and it still struggles with it. If it wasn't for the blocking, he could make a good TE, big, strong, fast, but he doesn't have the all out speed I think he would need to be a RB. Vick use to have it and we have yet to see if he still does. The Titans would be well served to run Young in a Wild Cat type of position, but the offense is not set up that way.

They are all but out of it this year and they have to see what they have with Young. I think they have already seen enough of him. If Fisher thought he could help them win, he would have put hin in already.

Giving Young the start means so have the Titans. They could be the first team to go 13-3 and then 3-13 then next year.

I don't think you would have been any better off. He has made 0 impact in Philly and I don't think he has that thing that seperated him from everyone else anymore. That thing being 4.3 speed.

The Titans don't have an option in the playbook. If the did, Young could run option type plays. Either Young or Vick fits in the current offense the Titans are built to run.

I knew Young's career would turn out this way. Th hype on him after the National Championship was so huge, but I knew that he was not an NFL QB.

Actually there is a couple of Option plays...the Titans ran them in the preseason.

But Vince Young really needs a good QB coach to get him to become the QB he's expected to be.
