- Bad News for Hulk Hogan's Book Promotion
Posted by: Wrestling-Radio.com Hulk Hogan’s book My Life Outside the Ring entered the New York Times hardcover nonfiction list at No. 12. This is a bad news for Hogan as the Mick Foley, Steve Austin and Ric Flair bios all entered The Times' best seller lists in higher positions with far less publicity going in.
Two things on this. 1. Austin, Flair, and Foley had the full backing and promotion machine of the WWE behind them and 2. I don't think people care about Hogan outside of the ring. We have heard enough of that through his reality show and tabloids. I have had enough of his son, his daughter, his divorce/ex-wife and so on. Rey Mysterio's book comes out tomorrow, do you think it will out sell Hogan's in the first week?

| Hogan's life has been interesting, for lack of a better word, but like you said, the show and tabloids is enough. Rey Mysterio's should be sweet, growing up with a family member who was big. | |

| I buy quite a few of the wrestling books, but I'm just not interested in Hulk's. Why would I buy a book about his life, when I can read it for free on the internet? I'd much rather read Rey's than his. | |

| Hogan's book doesn'T really interest me because of his reputation of backstage politician and we know that he's always putting a positive spin on him to make others look bad when he's wrong. So, I'm not interested in the least by a book full of crap.
I only read Steve Austin's autobiography and it's excellent as it covers his whole career up until the night he returned on RAW with the infamous "Beer Bash" segment. I'd also like to read Ric Flair and Chris Jericho's book too.

| I have read Flair's, Foley's first 2, Hogan's first 1, and Brett Hart's book. I feel that I learned all I want to know about Hogan from his first book. | |
