Shogun Rua Would Like To Fight Anderson Silva In The Future

UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua has revealed that he would be more than happy to step inside the octagon with current UFC Middleweight champion, Anderson Silva.

Speaking via Tatame Magazine, Shogun said:

“We’ve always had a good relationship, but we were never close. I’ve always admired Anderson on the gym, but we were never friends… If UFC wanted to, I’d confront Anderson. Anderson is a very good guy, had a good technique and conditioning, he’s one of the three best pound for pound, but I’m used to challenges. I’d be a tough fight, but I like tough challenges.”

When asked if he'd fight Anderson Silva after he just won his title, he said: "Yes, of course. I'm a professional fighter". That right there is why he's a great champion. None of that "we're friends" bullshit Silva and Machida keep pulling.

Yeah. He said basically the samething on MMA Live, in his post fight interview. He said he would fight whoever because he is a profesional and fighting is his job. The thing is, it is also Machida's job and it is Silva's job. When other people refuse to do their job, they get their ass fired.
