The decision to make the third season of NXT an all-women's show was likely made very recently because last week, WWE filmed twelve wrestlers at Florida Championship Wrestling, eight men and four women. Initial plans called for four men and four women to be featured in the abbreviated season, but it was later changed to six women.
There is hope that the show will garner better ratings with women prominently featured so they can reach a television deal with another network. There is also hope that Aloisia's "freak of nature" persona will increase ratings so Syfy will change its mind and renew the program.
Another aspect revolves around unhappiness with many of its current female performers, resulting in the company looking for replacement Divas. Talent relations were unhappy with the behavior of several of the women in recent weeks, particularly when much of the roster was situated in Los Angeles for SummerSlam. It is said that Tiffany and the recently released Serena were not the only ones who made embarrassing scenes in public. Officials are very strict regarding the public image of its talent because of promises to corporate sponsors that World Wrestling Entertainment is a wholesome company.
As things stand now, the lame duck show will end its current season on October 1, with a live episode in Oklahoma City as part of a three-hour programming block that will include the network's debut of Friday Night SmackDown.
It is good that the WWE knows that the Woman's Div sucks right now, but it is there own damn fault. Dumb moves like firing Mickie James and having Eve and Fox when the WWE Diva's Champ, has turned the Div into shit.

| I don't think it's saying they know it's shit, I think it's saying they don't like how they behave.
Bring back two-piece bikini competitions, bra & panties matches and Maria (to compete in the former two) and I won't be complaining...

The four men and four women idea is far superior to having six women for NXT. - Quote :

How? Seriously, how did they even reach the preposterous idea that an all diva season will garner better ratings. Their diva's division is not strong enough to sustain great ratings, let alone increase the ratings for the show. I really doubt Aloisia's gimmick is going to hook too many people into watching. - Quote :

I personally don't see this as a good enough reason. It's understandable that they are upset at their divas, but it doesn't warrant them to make an all diva season of NXT. I mean, all that is doing is giving two more divas a chance, that's not really any better than giving four women a shot. I'm missing WWE's logic here.

| ^^Being upset with the performance of the Diva's, doesn't make this a good idea. The show sounds dumb, but I will watch a few times. The good thing is, it will be over in just 5 weeks.
You know, I am still confused by the Diva Pro's. These Pro's have nothing to do with what is going on in the Diva's Div right now. First and formost, Melina should be a Pro. Secondly, why not have Layla be a Pro and McCool be a Pro? Sooner or later, they are going to turn on each other, why not use this to start that?
