Rey's Mania Status Revealed

Rey Mysterio will not be wrestling at WrestleMania after all. Mysterio is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair his torn biceps muscle this Friday, reports prowrestling.NET. He will miss between four and six months. After missing WrestleMania last year, Mysterio had his sights set on wrestling at this year's event as there were plans to do a Mysterio & Floyd Mayweather vs. Big Show & Shane McMahon match. As a consolation prize, Mysterio, who was seen briefly shown backstage on Raw tonight with Mayweather, has been been assured that he will still be involved in the angle in some way.

Man that has to be tough. I feel bad for Rey. I wonder if they will be adding someone new to the angle now that he is forced to play a limited role.

Hogan should take Rey's place.

Yeah, that would be an interesting match. Reminds me of the main event at WrestleMania 1. I'd like to see Hogan at WM, just not retiring Naitch so this would be a good match for him to take part in. If not then I guess it could be Batista or someone like that. The Animal isn't involved in anything else...

He should do a run in and Cost Show the match

I doubt Hogan will be back anytime soon on the WWE. He's right now trying to start up a new company with Eric Bischoff, and he's verbally bashing the WWE in interviews.

The only 'big name' they could do would be Mayweather/Austin vs. Show/Shane... and that wouldn't make much sense.
