Tampa Bay Lightning make shitload of moves

Dan Boyle received a 6 year $40 million dollar extension. He was slated to become a UFA this summer.

Lightning trade Vaclav Prospal to the Philadelphia Flyers. In return, they receive defensive prospect Alexandre Picard and a conditional draft pick. Prospal has 29 goals and 28 assists in 62 games this season. This comes after the Flyers lost Mike Richards (their leading scorer) and Simon Gagne to injury, and also weren't able to sign Forseberg.

Brad Richards has been dealt to the Dallas Stars along with Johan Holmqvist. In return, the Lightning receive goalie Mike Smith, Forwards Jussi Jokinen and Jeff Halpern. Richards has waived his no-trade clause to complete the deal. He'll earn $7.8 million for each of the next 3 years.
