Columbus Blue Jackets make a couple moves

Sergei Federov joins fellow Russian Ovechkin in Washington. The trade brings over Federov, who has 28 points in 50 games, for defenceman Theo Ruth, a prospect drafted last year.

Sticking with the Blue Jacket's moves, Adam Foote has been traded back to the Colorado Avalanche for a conditional first round draft pick and another 4th round draft pick. This comes on the heels of the Avalanche bringing back another former player, Peter Forseberg. Foote has 15 points in 63 games, but is better known for his dominant defence.
