Update On Shane's Backstage Role In WWE: Taking Over Stephanie's Role?

Shane McMahon, who previously was only involved in WWE's "new media" projects, has taken a more active role in the creative process in recent weeks. Shane has been sitting in on meetings and throwing out a bunch of suggestions.

Shane has been credited for putting the Floyd Mayweather deal together. Shane is also said to be responsible for the recent South American tour and has been pushing to get the company into China, a market where he sees tremendous growth potential.

With Stephanie McMahon's pregnancy and upcoming maternity leave, Shane could see an opening to take on more responsibilitie in her absence. Whether he follows through with Stephanie's agenda or takes things in a new direction will be interesting to follow.

I think this was bound to happen. I think Steph will just slip into being mom, and being a creative consultant to the WWE. Which is cool.

Everybody knows Shane is gonna step into Vince's shoes down the line anyway.

I think it is better this way because Stephanie really doesn't have the creative ideas that Vince has, but I am sure Shane has the creative ideas. Steph all she really does is fire people. So this is all good, and plus Steph annoys the hell out of me.

Shane and Steph both been great jobs for WWE who works with their dad the WWE chairman.

Steph been gone since she had first baby daughter last 2006 Aurora.So Steph will planning to leave maternity with their new baby dues this summer but im sure Steph always hands-on mother im not sure Steph hires nanny or mores when her kids staying with nanny i know Steph and Triple H both been so busy schedules routinues to do.

Hopefully this'll mean we get some better storylines, Shane seems to have better ideas than Steph has.

Actually that's not really true. Most wrestlers have said Steph is a voice of reason, who actually tries to bridge fights within the company. Usually when Vince is PO'ed about something or someone, Steph is the one trying to patch things up, and be the middle man.

It's Vince that usually jumps the gun on the firing stuff.

All i know is maby this will help out with new directions because lord now's the WWE needs some new direction with some stuff.
