Melina Speaks On Not Posing For Playboy

IGN.com has a new interview online with Melina. When asked about her decision not to pose for Playboy, Melina said, "I'm not going to say "Never say never", because if I ever chose to, then people will say "Oh, well she said she never would!", but at this point and time in my life, I won't do it. One, I want everyone to see my wrestling and that I have to more to offer. That's my choice and I want people to respect me for that. Other people can do that and it's great for them, but it's my choice. Second, I don't want people to come up to my dad or my brother or the person I'm dating and say, "Hey, can you have your daughter [or sister] sign this!" And then, for my body, I'd like the person I'm with in a relationship to see that."

Basically she said, "sorry you can see my boobs just not now, wait until I am a good enough wrestler that it will not be what I am remembered for." And I kind of like that fact that she has note done it yet. Coming into the WWE and the first thing you do is pose for playboy is kind of slutty.

As she sad its cool, if its women wrestling now,she is the best ,and mickey James pritty good also Phoenix,and seems like she is smart also,she doest want wrestling fans to like her coz of her boobs,well secret is much intresting i think!!!!really nice...!!!I think its a great decision!!!Say no for Plaboy hahaha thats great...!!!

Melina is smart not pose for playboy and she surprise at Ashley's cover last years they now Maria but i cant blame her its her decision what she wanted.

im tell you truth some diva wanted get pose for cover or not dues private respectives what Melina wanted it.

im sure her family knew what she wanted for no pose on playboy cover because her parents more strict or not.

Melina, you go girl, all I can say. If you want to do that stuff, you could go ahead and pose for WWE magazine. What has this world come too when women are looked upon for their sexual side then their wrestling ability. My brother said he had a friend who met her because her parents live in a town across from mine.

She's too talented to pose for playboy in my opinion.

I don't care if she will pose at Playboy or not,I only care to see her preform in the ring,because she improved a LOT,and I enjoy watching her wrestle!I think that Melina knows what she wants,and everybody should accept that she doesn't want to pose for Playboy,she owned her body,and she can do what ever she wants with it!I'm sure that every male would like to see her pose for playboy right now,and I'm no diffrence,but guys should accept her for what se decide!Its not like there is lake at girls that post for playboy!I mean what will Playboy give her?Some guys that will cheer for her just because she is on the cover?Or she will get a push just because she is on the cover?I think that Melina can get a push for the Women's title,and become a 3 time Women's champion,if she will base herself on her skills in the ring,and not in Playboy!Thats my overall view!

Maybe she'll save it for when she needs a push. Playboy means a free push.

But as sol said it is pretty slutty to always pose. But yet again come on its melina but at the moment she is the best on the raw roster along with beth and mickie so they need to work to gether and push themselves in matches.

Mickie hasn't posed for Playboy, but she actually did an independent wrestling circuit back in the day, and did XXX hardcore photos (certaintly made Playboy look like Maxim).


I would think being Mickie was willing to go THAT far posing, she'd most likely be willing to do Playboy when offer is presented down the road.

Its great that she said no. The divas that pose for playboy are skanks. I agree with Inah she's too talented to do that.

i am glad she never said she wouldn't pose because a few divas have said they never pose in playboy then they turn out and pose in it. it make them look two face when they say they will not and end up doing it any place

Problem is the WWE Divas are plagued with alot of eye candy who are talentless.

Trish, Stacy and Molly were asked on Byte This! would you pose for Playboy and they all said NO!

and Terri said that she would pose for Playboy if it weren't for having a child, but now that she has a Teenage Daughter, she said no and that she wants to be an example for her!

Good for Melina. Of coarse, no hetrosexual male can honestly say they wouldn't want to see it, but it is good that she is trying to get respect and a push for her wrestling skills, and not for posing for playboy.

Well just to let you all know:

I'm a grown man and I do respect women as always, but I am not a Playboy Buff nor do I watch Girls Gone Wild or WEW Wrestling!

I find that absolutely disgraceful!

But I still respect Torrie Wilson and Christy Hemme for wanting to take wrestling seriously and I'm giving both of them chances!

and as for Melina, it shows you that she has class and dignity!

I would buy her naked mag, but I don't think that should be the only qualification to getting a push in the Womans Division. Maria and Ashely can't wrestle and yet they were in the last 2 Mania Diva matches. I would buy my copy of Playboy now if Mickie was in it next year and I really want to see Kelly Kelly without clothes and I know she can't wrestle either, but if a Diva whom an't wrestle is going to be in Playboy and be in the Divas match at Mania, I vote Kelly Kelly.
