A travesty!

Joey Styles has been removed from the ECW announce team and replaced by Mike Adamle. Yes, that's right - the man who botches everything takes ECW's best announcer's place. It may just ruin ECW once and for all.

I guess Raw is the best now even though I don't like King or JR anymore. SD used to be the best, then JBl leaves to get back to wrestling. So ECW was the best, and now Styles is gone for god knows why.

Well let me say this:

I like Joey Styles, but I never cared for JBL or Jerry "The King" Lawler on the Broadcast Booth!

and plus, I don't care too much for Todd Grisham or Josh Mathews either!

and as for JR, I use to respect him, but after reading some of his blogs about some of things that he said about Bruno, Victoria, Charlie Haas and TNA, I lost alot of respect for him!

My favorite Announcers in the WWE during the Brand Extension Era were Marc Loyd and Rue from Bottom Line and Afterburn and Ivory!

Michael Cole and Tazz are too goofy!

Well if that's the case of Joey Styles being removed from ECW, then all I can say is this:

I don't blame Joey Styles for what he said about telling stories is insulting!

You know?

Maybe it wasn't such a hot idea after all for him to sign a WWE Contract!

I'm still just in shock....

I have no problem with Adalme, but WHY REPLACE JOEY FREAKIN' STYLES?!??!!?

I was never a fan of Joey but he was the voice of ECW like it or not. They picked the worst possible replacement they could think of.

Maybe Joey Styles is going to Smackdown since Coach isn't doing a very good job?

They're not going to put two match callers on SD.


Yeah they did it in the past with Vince & J.R., but not now. Styles will most likely take over HEAT.

Joey has had issues in the past with Vince's direction.


Recently Vince had asked all announcers to start calling more storyline info, and less on match moves.


I'm wondering if Joey balked at this.

I don't like the idea of the WWE telling stories and calling matches!

I mean hey, it goes back to the late Gordon Solie and others from the NWA, WCW and of course TNA!

But sadly, Vince McMahon id humiliating both Joey Styles and Coach!

I mean hey, both of them got have got heat from McMahon for calling the action and not telling stories!

This is just stupid,why take Joey off ECW?But then replace him with a guy that can't even talk right.This is prolly the worst thing they have done on ECW.

and next month, it will be 2 years since that has happend!

There must be some way to complain about this, does anyone know of a way? I've E-mailed WWE, but I doubt it will have an effect, is there another way?

Bingo! But that really goes for almost any large company or organization (including TNA! ) unless maybe something like safety was the issue. They could probably care less what 1 wrestling fan thinks, hell they probably wouldn't/shouldn't care if it was 1000.

Ring of Honor, The Indies, NWA and TNA, it doesn't matter, I would watch wrestling on those rather than on the WWE!

In a very unpopular move, WWE has removed Joey Styles from his position as the lead
commentator for ECW.


Those that did not follow Joey Styles' career when he was with the original ECW have no idea how entertaining he can be on the mic.

He had a very unique style where he was basically a knowledgeable fan who was very excited about the product.

It was a style that worked well enough to where Paul Heyman didn't even bother putting another person with him.

Joey Styles was both the play by play analyst and the color commentator.

Since coming to WWE, though, he's been forced to water down his style. He's become basically a puppet on the mic.

Jim Ross recently made a comment about it by saying that Joey Styles was a lot more "kindler and gentler". That's an acknowledgment that Joey Styles was forced to drop his own style.

Then again, Jim Ross should know that pretty well since he too was forced to change his style when he left WCW for WWE.


Replacing Joey Styles on the mic will be Mike Adamle.

Mike Adamle has just completed the first step towards becoming the "John Cena of commentating".

Like John Cena, he has his positives. However, he's in a spot that the fans don't want him to be in.

WWE management is hell bent on shoving Mike Adamle down people's throats.

He was recently brought into the company to do interviews in the audience. Even though it added nothing to the shows, Mike Adamle was still getting paid a hefty sum.

Now, he's going to have to work a bit harder to earn that contract of his.

Next Stop For Styles
There were rumors that Joey Styles was going to be heading over to Smackdown, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Michael Cole doesn't appear to be leaving Smackdown until Jim Ross decides to step down from Monday Night Raw.

Jonathan Coachman would probably love to go back to his old role, but a combination of Joey Styles and Michael Cole doesn't exactly seem like a good fit (I could be wrong, though).
The most likely scenario is that Joey Styles will be moved over to the WWE.com team in an unspecified role.

Of course, WWE could just be keeping Joey Styles on the payroll in case Mike Adamle flops as the ECW commentator.


This move is definitely going to be criticized for quite some time.

I mean hey, I like Mike Adamle when he was on American Gladiators, but ever since joining the WWE, I think that Vince McMahon is going to mistreat him just like he did Joey Styles!

Hey, Vince McMahon should've been paying more attention to the old days of the NWA, WCW, the WWWF/WWF and of course the past and the present day of TNA!

Vince probably doesn't want another Gordon Solie, Bobby Heenan, Gorillia Monsoon, Jesse Ventura or the current TNA Announcers Mike Tenay from WCW and Don West or another Larry Zbyszko!

Tony Schiavone I thought he was pretty good, but I was surprised that Bobby Heenan and Mike Tenay said that Tony Schiavone just didn't care about wrestling!

The WORSE Announcers EVER are as follows:

Jerry "The King" Lawler, JBL, Tazz, and of course:

MARK "FREAKIN'" MADDEN!
and also, the HEaT commentators Todd Grisham and Josh Mathews

I disagree. I think the worst WWE announcers are Coach and Adamle. Styles was awesome and JBL was a decent color commentator.

He's more like a mixture of Jerry "The King" Lawler and Mark Madden!

He's always calling women the next Mrs. Layfield just like Jerry Lawler use to say puppies all the time, but Thank GOD the WWE BANNED him from using that word!

and plus, if you weren't watching WCW Monday Nitro back in 2000, let me tell you about Mark Madden and why he was the most hated announcer in WCW and Professional Wrestling:

He insults everyone!

He insluts the fans, he insults the wrestlers, he insults the women of WCW, he insults the announcers and plus, he is loud, rude, obnoxious and plus, he looks TERRIBLE!

and plus, he was almost banned from doing radio for saying rude sexual comments about women!

and even though WCW was coming to an end, Thank GOD he was fired from WCW and good riddance to him!

Now as for the announcers who were WRESTLERS:

My favorites were Ivory, Al Snow and of course The Living Legend Larry Zbyszko!

Stevie Ray was OK, but he always like to call the heel Women Yaks just like he call men Fruit Booties!

I also disagree - Tazz is fairly good and in his early days king was great. Adamle will be the downfall of ECW - just mark my words.
