Melina's Return Date

Cyber Sunday will be Melina's first WWE appearance since the WWE Draft show on the June 23 Raw in which she injured her ankle when she fell from the turnbuckle in a match. Her appearance at Cyber Sunday will not mark as her permanent return to WWE as she still hasn't fully healed from the injury. Jim Ross noted in a recent blog that she's not due to return to the ring until January 2009.

Then why is she competing at all? Let her ankle rest so she can come back faster. Now she might aggravate her injury again, which my leave her out for 2-3 months. I think WWE should rethink their idea after what a minor aggravation can do to an injury, ORTON.

Because RUFFLES there is like 10 chicks in the ring so the workload wont be just on her... Anyway it will be great to see her return

What is she supposed to do at Cyber Sunday if she doesn't wrestle? Is there some sort of special referee for a WWE Women's title match?

In the original listing for the Divas Halloween Costume Contest at Cyber Sunday, Melina was listed as taking part in the contest. However, it looks like her name being listed was an error as WWE.com has since removed her name from the match preview. Melina isn't expected to return to the ring until January as she is still rehabbing her foot injury.

That's a shame. Melina is one of the best women in WWE. She's got a decent gimmick and unique look/style as well as talent in the ring.

Yeah, but what would be the point to bring her back for a costume contest only for her to disappear for 2 months before coming back? It'd be pointless.

I rather wait until January to see her come back. I think the Women's Division on RAW really need her bad with Candice's return debacle.

Oh I agree. I just meant it was a shame she had to take time off in the first place. No point in having her turn up for that costume contest only to leave again.
