- 2008's fourth quarter might not be as packed with high profile releases as originally anticipated. Two of the quarter's biggest releases have been pushed back to early 2009.
50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct, originally due for a December 16th release, and Jay-Z's Blue Print III, rumored for a December 23rd release, will now be hitting stores sometime in early 2009.
Interscope says 50 was "rushing" to meet the December date but "with the deadline to secure advertising and retail placement for the album imminent," he opted to wait until next year.
Before I Self Destruct will come packed with two Dvds, Before I Self Destruct the movie, and Two Turntables & A Microphone: The Life & Times Of Jam Master Jay (limited edition).
Meanwhile, Jay-Z's highly anticipated Blue Print III, will be hitting store shelves sometime in February of 2009.
During a recent interview, Kanye says Jay's album is coming this February.
"We're almost finished with Jay's album, we were almost finished before I dropped MY album" he says.
"Jay's album is coming in February." Man what is going on. First DMX delays his albums to 2009, then Bangin On The System(Outlawz & Dead Prez) gets pushed back to 2009, now 50 and Jay Z's albums are getting pushed back, and eminem's probably will too.. | |

| Not surprising, a lot of artists don't meet their original release date. Hell, some artists end up delaying for about a year or more before it ever comes out. I wonder when Papoose's Nacirema Dream will be coming out... | |
