| Source - PWInsider We just got word that former WWEIntercontinental and Tag Team champion Rikishi/Fatu is backstage at the TNA tapings. There has been a lot of talk recently about TNA being interested in him, thus it is possible he will debut tonight, possibly in an angle related to Samoa Joe. WWE owns the " Rikishi" copyright, so he will be working under a different name. | |

Before he gained weight and became Rikishi he was more the size of his younger brother, Umaga. Back then he wrestled as Fatu, with his cousin Samu, as one half of the tag team The Headshrinkers (aka The Samoan Swat Team outside of WWE). Personally, I would have loved to see him back in WWE tagging with Umaga... I heard the WWE let him go years ago because of his weight. They wanted him to lose a lot of it and I guess he couldn't. The original rumors I heard were that Brian Christopher would be joining him in TNA, and he did recently return to Memphis Wrestling, so it is possible he is wrestling there to tune up or something... Then again, Christopher may be planning on staying in Memphis where he is, at least at the moment, pretty much being treated as the top star. The rumor I read said they were not planning to bring in Scotty though. | |
