Hey guys, I want to talk about a guy that has been receiving critisism from the WCW fans:
Jeff Jarrett
Now, when Jeff Jarrett 1st came to WCW, he became the same guy that he was when he left the WWE for the 1st time
He joined up with the 4 Horsemen during 1996, but didn't help do wonders but after splitting with the Horsemen, Jarrett won the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship from Dean Malenko, however, Jarrett would soon lose the belt to Steve "Mongo" McMichaels @ the final Clash of the Champions on TBS.
and in October of 1997, Jeff Jarrett would soon leave the WCW and head back to the WWE and Debra went with him.
On the 4 Horsemen DVD, Eric Bischoff said that his ring gear was like a Male Stripper and Stone Cold said that Jeff Jarrett was not 4 Horsemen Material.
But 2 years later, one night after losing the Intercontinental Championship to Chyna, Jarrett would return to WCW once again, this time, he became known as The Chosen One and his trademark was the Guitar
But then, Jarrett would win the US Title for a 2nd time, this time against Chris Benoit in a Ladder Rematch on Nitro, but then, he would soon join up with the nWo 2000.
Jarrett would hold on to the belt, especially when Kevin Nash called it Grave Injustice to strip him of the US Title, but when Sid Vicious won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship (twice) from Kevin Nash in January of 2000, Jarrett did everything in his power to get the World Title from Sid, but was unsuccessful.
But when Russo and Bischoff returned to WCW, Jarrett became a 4x World Heavyweight Champion
His 1st reign lasted 8 days when he lost the belt to Diamond Dallas Page, his 2nd reign also lasted 8 days when he lost the belt to Ric Flair, his 3rd reign lasted only 2 days when he lost the belt to Kevin Nash on Thunder and his 4th reign would last a month or so when he finally lost the belt to Booker T. on the very same night that Hulk Hogan was fired from WCW.
But then, after losing the belt, it seems like Jeff Jarrett would do everything in his power to be the top dog of a company that had talent, but had poor mismanagement.
and so, I ask you guys all this:
Did Jeff Jarrett's 2nd run in WCW cause the downfall?
That's the Question!
Please share your thoughts on all of this.
