Jack Swagger is the new ECW Champ

Just on Wwe.com and Jack Swagger defeated Matt Hardy for the championship. Its a shame IMO, But ive never seen Swagger wrestle so i cant comment.

OUCH. That sucks for ECW.

This could be WWE's way of relieving Matt Hardy from this "c-brand champion" stigma he's had since winning the belt. He's way above the ECW championship. Jack Swagger on the other hand is very talented, but still too inexperienced to main event Raw or Smackdown.

Eh...nobody saw this coming on his debut? Most likely he'll have one of those squash reigns. Seriously, I saw him as Minor ECW ability, thinking ECW would have like a 2nd Best Title, with like the DJ Gabriel, Boogeyman and Paul Burchill rankers. But, he was used overratedly.

Seriously, Give him a couple of losses first. Enough of all these rookies having undefeated streaks...Make them lose so we can see them in pain rather than cocky untouchables.

Too early for me but hey, its ECW...Extremely CRAPPY wrestling, expect a hand full of wrestlers.

But I still think it's pretty sweet he won the title Cocky guys always make great champions to me.They will probably have Swagger fued with Tommy Dreamer. And have him drop the title to him at the next PPV or before dreamer retires.

I like Swagger. Not gonna lie.
But this is waaay to soon. If WWE want to push him, they would much rather give him some big victories over guy's who are at least midcard.

Still, I can only see this doing bad things for ECW. Still, I could be wrong. Just look at Mark Henry.

Truthfully, I'm glad he got the title. Matt Hardy sucked as ECW champ so it's great to see the belt off him now. Jack Swagger is a very talented kid so why not?

In terms of in-ring ability, Swagger's got Hardy beat. Hardy's got more charisma, which is saying something in my opinion. I don't think either are set to be main event guys on Smackdown or Raw, but if I had to pick one to be my champion, I would actually pick Swagger. They just need to give him voith lethonths.

IDK, Swagger seems to have a lot of charisma and mic skills. You see that promo he cut on Dreamer, "Tommy who?"

His in-ring skills are pretty good, his gutwrench powerbomb is almost perfect. Good background and character, and he comes off really cocky when he goes to the ring. To me he's good enough to hold the belt that you all reguard as less than the US and IC title.

i agree i'm getting sick and tired of the new wrestlers being undefeated. Jack Swagger got that title too soon. I didnt want Matt to lose the title bu if he did i would want him to lose it to someone like John Morrison, Tommy Dreamer, or The Miz.

That seams backwards to me. Hardy has no real charisma and is very talented, while Swagger is pretty middle of the line on both.

I could see Swagger getting a Brock style push in the future, the dude has Amateur background and happens to be fairly big.

Yeah he's talented. Although he hasn't really done anything of note except lost to Boogeyman and somehow NOT EAT WORMS!

Yeah but look who ECW third man is at the moment, Would you call Henry talent. Burchill could easily take his place
