Earlier today, the new CGS board announced the return of Mayhem TV. In 2007, the likes of Dash Blade and Daniel Blaze wrestled on the premiere edition of Monday Night Mayhem. A brand extension soon followed with Livewire and Slam. Since then, we've seen Adrenaline, Fusion and even the return of Livewire. Now CGS is going back to where it all began.
The move follows the decision to rebrand the fed as CGS Classic. This should see an emphasis on both the original CGS Wrestling and the Exile era from 2008 onwards. Former wrestlers Michael Cohen and The Bazz have already been signed as commentators. Despite the nostalgia, the rumored roster features plenty of new faces.
In August 2009, A Night to Remember was established as CGS' biggest event of the year, featuring classic matches and Hall of Fame inductions. The IWC is excited at the prospect of ANTR 3 but our source says the board will delay the PPV until early Septemeber so the new roster can be properly introduced to fans.
More as we have it.
