As reported earlier, Big Show was originally earmarked to take part in the Money in the Bank Match at WrestleMania XXV, but Vince McMahon decided to put him in the World Heavyweight Championship bout instead. Mark Henry ended up taking place in the bout.

McMahon felt they had done John Cena vs. Edge way too many times before, so he changed the bout to a three-way match by adding Big Show to it. Although, weeks worth of angles between Cena and Edge were shot before he came to this decision.

Why would you put +150 pounds on something that only holds 300. Not only that, why would you give MITB to the same guy twice in a row? It just doesn't work.

That was a crappy plan. Punk winning it, as much as it sucks, is a better plan.

I almost find it hilarious. WWE creative was against Tommy Dreamer being in Money in the Bank because he was deemed "not mobile enough". Yet, they considered Big Show (who isn't moving any faster) and they ended up booking Mark Henry (who is the very definition of moving slow) instead.

Wow. I usually try to be understanding with WWE creative, knowing what it's like to book but man, some of those decisions are headscratchers.

Hey, at least they didn't bring VISCERA back for that match. Give them credit where credit is (not) due.
