| WWE.com's headline story as of this writing is a direct response to CNN's airing of "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling" shown Wednesday. It is scheduled for rebroadcast on both Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. EST.
WWE presents damning evidence in the company's response to CNN, making it quite clear that the news network edited and chose footage that suited an agenda. That evidence is clear when viewing the footage of John Cena's interview that aired on the CNN special in comparison to the unedited version, both of which are viewable on WWE.com.
The statement on WWE.com reads as follows:
Cena: Steroids? "Absolutely not" In a country in which the news media is highly suspect, and the quality of unbiased reporting has been thrown into the trash can, CNN has stooped to new depths. Notwithstanding the fairness, or lack therein, of CNN’s recent piece entitled “Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling,” perhaps the best example of how CNN misrepresents and unfairly presents their biased, if not illegal, point of view is the comparison of WWE’s unedited video above to CNN’s edited version. CNN’s depiction of John Cena as it relates to steroids is not only professionally and morally wrong, but damaging to his character.
The footage of Cena's interview that aired on CNN made it appear that Cena was almost making a vague admission of guilt when asked if he'd ever used steroids. In fact, the first words he used in response to the question were "absolutely not."
As a career news journalist who has recently harped about credibility, expect to hear much more from me on this topic in the near future.

| CNN does bias reporting hold the phone when did they start doing this? lol Alll news stations do this Fox tried to pull the same stunt to make Michael Moore looks stupider then he already is he made Fox news looks stupid and I give him credit for that. Either way I am glad Cena got the full story out there and not given a bad name by CNN. Even though some people are still convinced that he took them. Starting off with absolutely not makes it sound like yeah I did not take them and you can test me all you want you can never prove that I ever did. | |

I totally agree. Based on CNN's version, I was willing to admit that he'd taken them in the past. I didn't really care, but I can see how it could be damaging. Starting the response the way he actually did, makes it seem less likley to me.

| I see how and why the WWE is worried and that Cena has taken the eailer but I aslso see how it is damaging but if he isn't taking them now then why worry about it. | |

Yeah and you know what I have to apologize to you. I should have thought that CNN was screwing him over.
