Gergory Helms had pills on him when arrested

TMZ.com is reporting that Gregory Helms was in possession of "one white pill" at the time of his arrest on January 27 along with fellow superstar Chris Jericho. The charges against both was sighted as public intoxication. The pill was believed to be a muscle relaxer known as Soma the generic version of the muscle relaxer Carisoprodol and a "schedule four narcotic."

Helms informed the police he has the relevant prescription details for the pill but was unable to provide any documentation at the time of his arrest. If he fails to provide proof he will be in violation of WWE's Wellness policy and the laws of the state of Kentucky.

Soma is a drug closely associated with the wrestling industry and in fact was one of the drugs Dr. Phil Astin was jailed for 10 years after police busted him for prescribing Soma and many others in large quantities to Chris Benoit before he died.



Helms was pulled from this weeks WWE television and removed from the Royal Rumble Match.

I predicate a suspension coming.
